The company should be banned for shaking customers down for money. If the site was free I wouldn't say a word but after requesting payment I'd expect a service I was promised. Instead, I found securit... See more

Biggest joke I found in the online…
Biggest joke I found in the online dating field! They make you super performed with pictures and I got three results one not in my preference two definitely not appealing! Be wise for your money better day flush it down the toilet my opinion
Unfortunately the filters on the app…
Unfortunately the filters on the app reduced number of matches significantly, so I've moved to otger apps. Think they should get some tips from Bumble/Breeze.
Scam !!!!!
Scam !!!!!! so many fake profiles created by the Hinge just to keep you hooked you want to find somebody just go out otherwise you’ll just throwing money down the drain you think you’re talking to real people? But you are not maybe it’s good if somebody wants to have the ego pleased
In all transparency
In all transparency, I’ve only been on the app for a few weeks now. What bothers me most about Hinge is that the user signs up for a given amount of time for a base cost. The app allows you to a rather limited potential dating pool but then there is an immediate up-sell for a 24-hour boost that allows you “11 times more visibility” which costs nearly as much as the subscription itself. So at this point, I’ve opted in for a three month subscription with barely any quality in the dating pool and have to pay more to have access to any potential matches. This option isn’t uncommon in other dating apps but it seems more egregious with Hinge. For someone who readily has the funds to opt in, Hinge’s relatively slimy tactics for gaining an up-sale makes it so unappealing that I have no desire to put more money in their hands. It’s a bad business model and not one that garners trust in the already tenuous medium of online dating.
Feels like a scam
I paid £160 upfront for a 6-month subscription. I have not met a single person who I would have even slightly anything in common with. I am a single female, kind, well-mannered and well-intentioned, highly educated, and looking for a long-term relationship. I am baffled how Hinge suggests matches to me which I cannot relate to at all. It is almost absurd! And really depressing.
Became a paying member only to find…
Became a paying member only to find after I’d paid and started to browse singles I got banned. Disgusting when youve subscribed to. They don’t tell you why either and if only Been on two days !!!! Hardly even spoken uo anyone at that point.
If you want to waste money just put it down the drain .
These are just out of order.
Hinge you are terrible. I will
Stick to match as they are the best .
Banned for no reason
Banned for no reason. When I requested what rule I had contravened, no Information was given. Very frustrating as have spent a reasonable amount of money on this app.
HINGE is a complete scam
HINGE is a complete scam. I have had multiple issues with the app and for over a week I have been asking them to simply tell me how to send a standard like as I do not have the icon and this has still not been addressed. Disappointing to say the least considering its a basic but primary feature. Cost me $139. Just a rip off.
They advertise themselves as…
They advertise themselves as ‘inclusive’ and a haven for LGBT people - but all they offer is allowing people to define themselves with pronouns while building a profile; something that takes three minutes to code - but when actual trans people open accounts, Hinge bans these people within minutes of opening an account. All my trans friends had their accounts banned. Seems like being trans is violating Hinge’s terms of service.
If you have no intention of being a safe place for trans people, that’s fine, but don’t advertise yourself as such, don’t try to make business out of being inclusive because that’s just vile. Incredible how out of touch some marketing teams can be
Scumbag app
This one hurts them the most because it sounds credible and furious without looking unhinged.
Hinge has a serious enforcement problem.
I was given a phone number by a match who immediately asked me for a “donation.” I did not respond. At all.
Instead of removing the person soliciting money, Hinge permanently removed my account for “soliciting.”
I appealed and provided screenshots. Their response? A canned, copy-paste rejection( screen shot ) that ignored the evidence entirely.
Meanwhile, I’ve personally reported multiple profiles openly promoting OnlyFans or asking for money — and nothing happens to them.
So let me get this straight:
• People asking for money stay
• People who don’t respond get banned
Either Hinge’s moderation team doesn’t review appeals, or they don’t care.
If you value fairness, transparency, or basic logic — this app is a gamble.
Using AI only for customer support
Using AI only for customer support. How comforting!!
Banned for absolutely no reason…
Banned for absolutely no reason whatsoever, I was taking a few days break from it and the ban came in, I made very respectful interactions with everybody I matched, but reading these reviews I don’t think I’m even gonna bother appealing it, a bit of a scam of a platform.
I was speaking to someone and I…
I was speaking to someone and I accidentally unmatched it by accident my younger sister accidentally clicked unmatched then hinge said there is no going back to it so all my conversation disappeared all gone and I can't go on a date now due to this I think this is really bad there's no way I can go back to this person I think it's really bad that you have to pay for the app and this happens
Better + Non-Premium Visability!
Some of you seem interested in my reviews. Try to understand, these are not thorough or proper reviews, but my own experiences. I have read other's reviews, and I'm not here to refute anyone else's experiences. Dating apps are hell, and depending on our lifestyles, they will affect everyone differently, especially if we have more time on our hands.
This app, though owned by Match Group, is easily the best out there for non-premium users. You will have full control of your LIKE from start to finish. They do not hinder your Match process, but you only get to interact with one LIKE at a time. The prompt fields have a smaller character quota than a lot of the bigger names like eHarmOnly and OkStupid, but those apps are completely paywalled for non-premium users. You will not be able to see or chat with your LIKES on most other apps. I think tiny boxes are a fair trade off, don't you think so?
The support with this app needs improvement, as it's another Match Group app after all. Where's Tim Taylor when you need him, huh? I bet he could build a nice big fence around this company that even they couldn't stick their nose over... Better yet, where's Trump? Hey stupid, this is where that wall is needed!
I'm still using this app after 3 years, with very few issues. Although, I had to remove a star, because it's a Match Group app, and they don't return my emails.
Beavis: Heh-heh, mm-heh-heh... hey, Butt-head, did you hear that? He said, like... tiny boxes. Heh-heh-heh. Yeah! Boxes are cool, but these are, like, tiny. Heh-m-heh... tiny boxes. Heh-heh. Shut up, Beavis!
P.S.
From my heart...
We all feel the 'invisible energy bubble' created by public affection. A single warm hug creates a field of positive energy. When other people within that field share their own affection, the bubbles overlap, and the positive energy begins to bounce off everything and everyone—even those not directly participating.
I dream of a world where we intentionally generate these bubbles everywhere—in supermarkets, on the streets, everywhere. Imagine the chain reaction if we all just offered a moment of genuine warmth. This type of global warming is tolerable isn't it?
I'm looking for people who want to intentionally create overlapping energy bubbles with me. Let's make the world a warmer place, one genuine connection and hug at a time.
Do not use Hinge
Do not use Hinge. They kicked off a successful dentist who has high functioning autism. The man went on a date and although his date decided they weren't a match the man, being a gentleman, walked her to her car to make sure she was safe. Well this woman felt this was stalking behavior and reported him to Hinge who, without getting his side of the story, kicked him off the site. Hinge brags about their, "Nobel Peace Price algorithm," but their true character shows they discriminate against people with disabilities. Do not use them.
Too many bots and fakes
At first glance, the app seems popular and crowded. But it turns out that more than half of the women's profiles are inactive, bots, or fake. Don't download it. It's a waste of time.
Fraudulent business purchased a…
Fraudulent business purchased a subscription and 2 days after I violated the TOS and band the account. I asked the fraudulent company to send me in writing black and white.
I really can’t rate my experience…
I really can’t rate my experience because I have not used the app, but after reading all these negative reviews—oh my God you have like 87% of your (Hinge) reviews have one star. That is not good for a person looking for a great dating app.
I read all of your material on your website and it’s pretty luring, even your short-story book was interesting. But, I think I’ll pass on Hinge!
Worst dating app on the market
Worst dating app on the market. While going through my divorce, I joined Hinge to get back out into the dating world. My ex wife also joined, saw me, and filed a complaint against me. Never interacted with her or any other woman on the app as my acct. was new. Hinge banned me and to this day I can’t use the app.
Racist
Racist.
Delete my account and block me forever without any reason. Never respond as real answer but keep saying "against regulation".
Probably just because I look an East Asian?
