High Priced, Poor Customer Service
My cat has kidney disease and needs prescription cat food. She likes the taste of the Hill's wet and dry food and it is helping to extend her life, for which I am grateful.
However, the price of the food is outrageous and they never run sales, offer any kind of volume pricing, or provide veterinarian offices with coupons or discount offerings for customers whose pets they serve. Unlike standard pet food, customers are buying prescription food because it is necessary.
I was advised to call Hill's for coupons. They did not answer the phone and directed me to their website for coupons. I filled out a form and they said coupons would come in the mail in 3 weeks. After such time, no coupons arrived. I emailed them to let them know.
They replied and said they were having a problem with their coupon system. I understand that can happen, but they need to simply communicate this to their customers on their email list so they are not left wondering. That's what good customer service is. I eventually received 2 coupons.
I shouldn't have to badger this company to save a couple bucks. They need to lower their prices. I was paying $2.62 per (small size) can, and if that wasn't expensive enough, they raised the price by about .20 per can on February 1st! It costs me $100 a month to feed my ailing cat. Do they truly care?
