Amazing experience

I recently purchased a vehicle from…

I recently purchased a vehicle from Highlanders GB and couldn’t be happier with the service. From the initial phone call to the final signing, the entire process was simple and straightforward.
A huge thank you to OJ who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional throughout. I was given the space to inspect the car at my own pace. The car itself was presented in immaculate condition, having clearly been prepared to a very high standard with a fresh service & a valid MOT.
If you’re looking for a premium used car and want to feel like you're in safe hands, I highly recommend this team at Highlanders GB.

Stay away no matter how good it seems …

ignored for 10 months and being basically called a liar by people with a bad attitude about the car I bought from them, they bodged the car up knowing it would go wrong when I’m 100’s of miles down the road. the finance company have finally stepped in and agreed after 3 inspections the car wasn’t fit.

List of faults as long as my arm.
Absolute bunch of cowboys. Gursh has refused to speak to me since the day I took the car. He knew. They all knew. Terrible company, not sure how they get away with it.

DO NOT BUY FROM HIGHLANDERS!
During the handover, their salesman took me off by myself down a side road and told me I had to pay him personally £300 in cash or by bank transfer for an immobiliser (that was already installed on a car he didnt own....) or my car was going to be stolen. I felt I had no choice as they already had nearly £20k of my money. When asking for it back he told me the other salesman knew all about it, so I wouldnt recommend anyone spend any time with any salesman employed at Highlanders.
They then handed over the car in non roadworthy condition, it had a faulty tyre and only 3 wheel nuts of 5, which I was told was 'fine' and theyd send 5 out. Never received them! Then refused to pay to put it right because I had had to get it fixed before their 3-5 day response (they were fine with me driving it illegally apparently, because their rules are more important than UK law).
In trying to resolve this, they have blocked my email address, so I will now be issuing to go to court to get my money back. Save your time and energy, buy from elsewhere! They do not respect UK Law.
I have seen on other reviews they try to just get 1 stars removed so ill be checking back to repost this whenever it disappears. I want to save you from the stress, frustration and disappointment of dealing with a horrible company like I have had. Wouldn't even recommend someone I didn't like to use Highlanders.

The car I took had issues

The car I took had issues, they would not let me give it back for a refund.

Edit: The car was not serviced, it had no oil, the filters were filthy and the spark plugs were discoloured. The car started making a noise and you reluctantly took it back when we turned up to the garage , it was the timing chain that was the issue, I had that verified by an independent garage. After a few weeks the noise came back, I took it to a garage and they showed me where the chain had been tightened.

Also, the car passed its MOT , the one highlanders did. I took it to the garage, car needed about £400 of work. I wasn't going to waste more time so I did the repairs and left. This is about the 3rd review of mine they've had removed.

Don't believe any of their excuses, they're are good at it. They won't accept the blame for anything.

For clarity, the issue you experienced during the Covid disruptions in 2021 was investigated promptly after you purchased your 2011 Seat Leon. The vehicle had been serviced by us prior to sale. Two weeks later, you reported an engine noise that occurred after the car had been serviced elsewhere with incorrect and overfilled oil. We booked you in at our local garage and, once the correct oil was refilled, the noise was resolved, which you confirmed at the time.

Despite this, you requested a refund as your preferred outcome. As the issue was not related to the vehicle’s condition at the point of sale, and had been resolved as a goodwill measure, we were unable to agree to this. We understand this may have been disappointing and may have contributed to some ongoing concerns. To ensure transparency, we kindly ask that any feedback reflects the full and accurate context so the public is properly informed.

After you collected the vehicle, we did not receive any further communication and therefore believed the matter to be concluded. We are unsure why the same resolved issue continues to appear periodically in online reviews as we are unable to keep up with the response to the same repeated concern.

If you still own the vehicle and have any current concerns, we are more than willing to assist you.
