Started an access course with this college & at first it was great, then I reached a unit where the tutor changed & he didn’t actually respond, I called the college a lot only to be told that they don’t actually have a department where you can speak to people on the phone, they advised me to continue trying to reach them via email which I did. Eventually I got a response to say that they would email the tutor to ask him to respond, they didn’t. In total 6 months passed by with no contact or me being able to move past that unit. I then went off on maternity leave and began to get emails from another team to say that if I did not return to study I would be pursued for the money for the course fees, I reluctantly went back to learning despite not being ready, a new tutor had been assigned for chemistry so my work was marked promptly. However, it seems all the tutors have changed as then it was a different tutor teaching biology, I submitted work 10 days ago and so far no communication again, my work is unmarked with the next unit due in by friday. I really would urge people to go somewhere else, do not bother enrolling as you will undoubtedly encounter problems

The course is completely lacking structure, support and communication. The team is absolutely useless. I DO NOT recommend their access to HE course AT ALL. Don't do it to yourselves. It is truly embarrassing and completely out of order.

Their online course is terrible (communication and shortage of staff). This is a big waste of government money. I signed up ( April 2024) with good faith to complete the course by June 2025 and i got up to unit 5 by October 2025 as they did not getting back to me and also didnt allow me to continue when there was a staff shortage. You are better off to work and save for a year to do an in person course. Avoid them at all costs.

Highbury is unorganised, and very poor quality for the course I’ve been on.
Not helpful for me getting future employment.
You go there as your choice, but some of the staff like to lord it over the students rather than encourage your growth at a vulnerable age.

Horrible Avoid. This is for online access courses. I joined last year

you get ignored. No comunication. tutors do not respond. made my life harder. they can go look at the dates where i messaged a teacher and never got responded the evidence is there. It so sad. They take the government money for the loan then leave you hanging. They should be closed down.

So much advertising just to leave you at the end. I wish they were actually checked from authorities above and not just continue to giving payments to this school.

This course is a complete joke. Poorly run with minimal communication.
When a tutor actually bothers to turn up they provide little or no guidance.
Save yourself the time and apply somewhere else.
