The bidding process was very good - smooth, no issues or errors. Trying to obtain a list of items by Category is a challenge. Two reasons: 1. the system doesn't "hold" the Location I select. It goes b... See more

The on line auctions in my area are all friendly and honest.
The on line auctions in my area are all run very professionally. I have no complaints and I buy a fair amount of stuff from several sites. Friendly and honest.

I won 2 auctions and am now finding out there is a "silent reserve". This was not specifically stated in bidding. Whay is going to happen? I want those items.... why would I not win with the highest bid?
The Best Site for Online Estate Sales
I have never had an issue with hibid. The problems are only ever with specific auction houses and after partaking in dozens of auctions there was only one auction house that was problematic. It's easy to use and the website itself is trustworthy.
Downsides are that it's addictive and you will spend all your money and that there doesn't seem to be a good way to report an auction house that is abusing the platform. But other than that I have been using it for almost a year and love it.
If I could ask for an improvement, aside from being able to report a bad AH, I'd love to be able to track all my winning bids and not just the ones in the past year for business purposes. I don't need to know about lost bids or watched items for that far back- but the wins are important to be able to resist for inventory purposes.
No surprises
I like the way a product is described, if it's missing something, and an expiration date on food items. There aren't any surprises. This is my favorite place to bid.
Beware of service charges at Ruito Trading
I am an experienced action goer. I have seem many auctions live, and participated in a few on line, this is the first time I have been so upset with billing practices. I have been charged 1 dollar "handling fee" per item , then charged 17% service charge o the total of the item bid AND the service charge!
I won 65 items, this has made for me feeling very betrayed by their terms as there was no mention of the 1 dollar handling fee plus 17% charge on that dollar. It will be the last time I participate in an auction from Ruito Trading company.
Bryan's Auction was so professional, clear and up front by comparison.
All that said, the products looked good, and the HiBid platform is great.
Honesty
The price is somewhat fair. This isnmy 2nd time winning from thier auction and I was pleased with the 1st time. Only thing I would like improved is faster shipping times. Other than that, great job to them.
I have been using Hi Bid for about 14 months
I have been using HiBid for about 14 months now. I have tried 8 different auction places in that time. I have found two that should not be allowed to operate...another two that are putting out the least amount of information that is needed about an item & when I call for more specifics about an item they are not too helpful So for now I have decided to go with three auctions places that are honest fair and give good and fast service. I have a complaint about one at the moment. I bid $5 on an item with a maximum of $20 on an item with a start bid of $5...When I came back someone had put 1 bid above my maximum. The thing I found wrong here is that the auctioneer changed the next bid total to $100. That means instead of an increment of $2 for my next bid which is what it should have been I needed to bid $100. So tell me can an auctioneer just change the bidding rules in the course of a bid.

Great auction houses
Great auction houses. Good service from most. The auctions are actually quite fun!
It was a really good experience
It was a really good experience. One thing I must mention is that you read everything and make sure you understand if it says
(Times X) 1,2,3,4, ect. You are paying what you bid times that amount.
See you all out there 👋
The auctioneer is knowledgeable about what he sells
The auctioneer is knowledgeable about what he lists for auction. Friendly competition, easy to use web site and good prices!
A big time saver!
You folks allow me to scan several local auctions at the same time from the comfort of my home. I don't have to do a search for each auction house, you have them all listed. Saves me LOTS of time!!

I recently bid on a firearm and won the bid in the live auction. But the seller rejected my bid immediately and when I reached out to question why and that there was no reserve listed on the lot , they said the firearm was no longer available and tried to offer me something else. I can only assume it was because of the price that it sold for. I was extremely disappointed and frustrated that my bid was not accepted. I was looking forward to the item and I will not be using the TriggerShock auctioneers anymore as they are dishonest in their practices.
The auction itself was not a problem…
The auction itself was not a problem using the platform, but I did feel that this particular auction house.Lone wolf sails did not properly disclose or take appropriate pictures for the items I purchased. I have not had that problem with previous online auction companies. Just really wanted to complain about this particular auctioneer, and the fact that the others disclose scratches marks and or take up close pictures. This item had exactly one photo. I mentioned I was surprised that it had so many flaws and chips and they didn't seem to care. Unfortunately, while there was limited viewing, it happened to be when there were extreme storms moving through the area.
When viewing large auctions with…
When viewing large auctions with perhaps 100 plus pages if scrolling through each item there is no means to get back to page 10 15 20 or 30 Etc as the site only allows pages one to seven or 93 to 100 or whatever being visible for viewing. Scrolling through to page 50 is tiresome bothersome and often avoided
The "prime bidz auction" was misleading…
The "prime bidz auction" was misleading on certain lots. I bid on clorox bleach that said "X3" thinking it was for 3 bottles in the lot. After I won ($7) it charges me $21 ! $7 each! Same thing on 4 small ceramic pots for $4 (charged me $16). They should have explained that! Its not even worth $7 a bottle or $4 per pot! Every other auction I've done on hibids its either 1 single item per lot or 1 price for 1+ items. I sent a msg ti auctioneer and disnt get a response, and with the rules... I had no choice but to pay for it and no way to get my money back! VERY DISAPPOINTED!
