Heytutor matched me with a tutor that had NO IDEA what he was doing. My tutor was learing the material as he was teaching it to me. I paid for a three hour tutor session and I got charged extra becasue he took 45 minutes of my session to discuss things that had nothing to do with my assignment. Not only did I fail my assignment, but they refused to refund me.

Terrible experience. We hired them to connect us with an Accounting tutor for a college level class. The tutor they connected us with was completely unqualified and becasue this was an intense Summer class that was moving quite fast, we hired a different tutor. We have been seeking reimbursement ever since and now our phone calls get ignored. There is no way to reach a supervisor. Same man keept answering the phone and when I asked to speak to his supervisor, he told me to "have a nice day" and hanged up on me. He will no longer answer the phone when I call.

After my web inquiry, I have waited over 4 hours for a promised phone call. Still waiting.........

Not even once I will think before recommending heytutor to anyone. I am so satisfied and happy with my tutor find that I will tell everyone I meet to get help from heytutor for their tutoring needs. A reliable platform with wonderful tutors and very caring staff. Thanks heytutor.

This place gladly took my money set me up with an unreliable person, who told me to my face, I don't know why you don't understand. If i didn't get 2 + 2, THIS IS WHY I PAID $$$$.... You explain it 500 times, I'm paying for the time anyways! I complained about the tutor, they were going to set me up with another tutor, I didn't hear anything for a week. My class is almost over, and it's been over a month with phone, calls, emails and 2 people saying they never heard anything they will call me back and NOTHING! I was basically robbed. SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

I was going nowhere and looking to impart my knowledge to fellow students and keep myself in touch with my subjects. Thankfully a friend suggested Heytutor to me. I applied. Now I am tutoring 3 students within my locality twice a week.

Terrible, apathetic and greedy. Do not believe their claim of 100% satisfaction and money back. I never received a minute of tutoring and yet was charged AND not reimbursed the amount. I filed a grievance with my credit card who informed me of the frequency of their name coming up in their files. And I file a Better Business Bureau complaint in their home state of California. They never responded to the complaint. They are ranked as a D- company with the BBB.

This company is a scammer. We paid $1,900 for my daughter two hours Worst tutor ever. My daughter said. I give them chance to find good tutor for another half year and no luck.Don’t hire them. They will never found someone fit your kid’s need and will not refund you.

Very rude employees to begin with. I had inquired about statistics tutoring A few months ago due to Covid canceling face-to-face tutoring at my school. I was taking college level statistics. I inquired about pricing and how it worked and my total was about $1500 being a college student it’s already hard financially especially when you don’t have the support system. She told me that many other families were able to make this work but I also told her that she didn’t take in consideration that not a lot of us have parents or family ready and willing to help financially. She gave me the motivation to pass the class and I did pass with an A all on my own. When I called back to get the name of this company because I wanted to write a review on my experience The guy on the phone just told me “good for you” and hung up on me. You can take this review as it is but I’ll never forget the way they made me feel. Thank you for motivating me to do something that you told me I could not do on my own.
