Their scheduling calendar is not…

Their scheduling calendar is not accurate for when they can actually conduct a virtual appointment. They cancelled two of my appointments without warning or notice and when I called customer service, they point blank said I should just use a different service to get my birth control. The only one star is because they were quick to give me a refund.

Had to use Pharmacy/Supplier answering machine prompt to get someone to close my account. Nobody answered otherwise.

When I tell you trying to engage with this business and their customer service team is like navigating the minotaur's labyrinth... absolutely bizarre, and I'm grateful for other trustpilot reviewers confirming that I'm not alone in my experience with The Pill Club. I don't know if the dip in quality/accessibility over the last year has to do with birth control restriction following Roe v Wade's overturn, or simply bad business management, but it's so disappointing when a service you've been able to rely on and trust for a year becomes completely unresponsive and shady.

Tried renewing my prescription back in February, gave up after retaking the same survey dozens of times and sitting in the virtual consultation waiting from for hours on end, for multiple days. Days I took off work because I cared about continuing my prescription and didn't want to miss such a high demand, difficult to squeeze in appointment if I looked away from my screen for 5 minutes. Nobody ever showed up. Now, the real fun part about this was realizing the link they email you privately after scheduling a specific time slot and the general "no appointment needed" waiting room link provided to everyone at the time WERE THE EXACT SAME LINK. SELECTING AN APPOINTMENT TIME MEANT NOTHING, IT SENT YOU TO THE EXACT SAME PLACE WITH THE EXACT SAME QUEUE AND THE EXACT SAME WAIT TIME. I expressed my frustration over text after receiving the same action required notification repeatedly, only to have a representative tell me they couldn't help and to seek alternative care with local resources. The exact thing I'm trying to avoid by using The Pill Club. Super nice.

I was fed up and out of birth control, and obviously The Pill Club wasn't going to help me, so I did what they told me to do. Everything was radio silent for 2 months, besides a random 3 day period where they messaged multiple times to push a pregnancy status survey. Strange, but ignorable. Until yesterday. I received another Action Required! text informing me that my prescription was about to run out. The one I don't have. Puzzling. I responded with confusion, and got a speedy, apologetic response from another Pill Club representative, who shared a link to renew my prescription again if I wanted to continue, and offered to close my account if I did not. In a moment of poor judgement, I started to wonder if maybe *I* was the problem, that this seemed like a pretty reasonable response and maybe trusting this company with my reproductive health again would be worthwhile.

So, I clicked the link. They charged me $20 USD after taking the same exact FREE survey as always, and before giving me ANY OPTIONS to meet virtually with a medical professional (usually they'd charge after this, once the prescription had been approved). Got a notification that my profile will be passed on to medical professionals for review, who would follow up with me. So... for $20: no guaranteed appointment, no prescription, just the same process I did in February with a higher fee (prescription cost around $10-$15 in March 2022) before service. Concerning, so I started asking questions, and the representative I'd been texting with ghosts me completely. Never to be heard from again. Then I started poking around on the website:
-There are no longer dashboard options to manually continue the prescription process.
-There's no way to completely remove a payment option, you HAVE to replace it with a different card.
-You cannot delete your account by yourself.
Shady, and after checking reviews here, I was right to be suspicious. Decided the best course of action was to call their customer service line and close my account, since texting was no longer an option.

Their phone system is wackadoo insane and I'm convinced it's set up specifically to avoid their own customers. If you call and select the customer care option (1), the answering machine hits you with "Sorry, the office is closed at this time :( Please call back during our normal business hours, Monday to Friday, 10-5." AT 2PM ON A TUESDAY. and also it has this fun little feature where, if you select the option to leave a message, IT HANGS UP ON YOU. Tried multiple times, same result, but they're so happy to assist us 6 days a week if we call, right?

Literally the only time I was able to talk to a human person was if I selected the pharmacist/supplier option (2), then they were MORE THAN HAPPY to speak with me! The call queue was quick, and the stunned worker had my account closed in under two minutes. Didn't seem that hard to do. Ideally they'd improve their customer line, but if you have to do this please ask if this is The Pill Club and politely explain your situation, they should be able to help.

Anyways, awful and disappointing. Never using the Pill Club again.

terrible terrible service

terrible terrible service. i had been using this service for several years but this recent time i've had to deal with them has been excruciating. i will no longer be using them. they're text messages seem to no longer be monitored by real people, they're either automated messages sent with no consideration to my actual concerns or requests and not responsive at all. it took them a week to just charge my card for the consultation fee when i had confirmed my pharmacy info and card info more than 3 TIMES. they charged my card on may 11th and it's currently may 16th and I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM. i called and they said they've been experiencing high volume and processing time would be an additional 10-15 days on top of the several weeks that it took to even get to them charging my card. WHAT?! medications are timely. and 2.5 weeks is way too long for most people to wait. at least have some sort of disclaimer on your site so people are aware how long the wait is and they can make other plans accordingly. this is just dishonest and misleading. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND I WILL BE FINDING A NEW SERVICE. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE TO ANYONE SEEING HOW THEY'VE HANDLED MY CONCERNS THIS TIME

Awful service

Awful service. Suddenly doesn't take my insurance. So then I bought a year's worth of birth control they made me fill out the questionnaire again and never shipped the birth control out and hasn't contacted me back when I've been texting them repeatedly. Awful awful service. Never again. I don't know what happened they were great years ago but now just truly terrible. Don't waste your money.

Worst service EVER

I can never seem to get an appointment to get my birth control refilled. I had scheduled a time for 7:10am, I hopped on 10 min early at 7am. Online it stated that the 'Wait Time" was 20 minutes on average. I've been waiting for 40 minutes. This is 30 mins after my appointment time. What is the point of scheduling an appointment if that is not when the appointment will be. I had to go to go to work so I had to cancel out of the "Waiting room". Now I will be without birth control as I am now almost out and only have a few days left of my pack. I am very irritated. DON'T GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE.

Terrible service

Terrible service! I ordered a prescription for birth control, they changed me the first $20 fee, on May 1st, and I still can’t get an answer about why I haven’t gotten my prescription or my pills, or an answer on email, phone or text. But they do charge right away, plus the charge or the pills whenever they process that. It’s been 11 days since I ordered.

Last thing the answered me is they can’t give me my $20 back because it was for the Consultation, which is supposed to happen within 1-2 days and still hasn’t happened but still they answer me to tell me they won’t give me the money. Not to process anything. I already went through another provider and they did it all the same day. Will have to go the legal way to fix this since they refuse to refund money for a service they didn’t provide.

they’re bankrupt for a reason

wow. genuinely some of the worst customer service. i was trying to move over to Pill Club from another service, and they just charged me $20 and never contacted me again. it’s been over a week and now i have to dispute the charge with my bank. word to the wise, just use Planned Parenthood’s online birth control delivery service. PP was so easy to use, there’s a reason that they’re beloved by women all across the US. No wonder Pill Club went bankrupt, they can’t get their act together to be a contender.

Terrible experience with The Pill Club

Terrible experience with The Pill Club. I am seriously so disappointed. I ordered my prescription over 10 days ago and have texted / emailed multiple inquiries checking on the status with not a single reply. Not an acknowledgement of my order or even a simple “hey we’re working on it but it’s not ready yet”. I’ve also called multiple times and can’t get a single person on the phone & when I try to leave a voicemail the line cuts me off. When it comes to healthcare, bad service is completely unacceptable. The reviews directly on their website are obviously bogus. I tried to leave one and there is no way to do it even having an account and ordering other products previously. I recommend using GoodRX if you don’t have insurance or need a birth control plan quick. Much better service and quality care.

Horrible Customer Care

It was always incredibly difficult to get prescription refills on time. Then suddenly their providers decided they were no longer going to supply me with my pills for literally no reason. They claimed "for safety reasons" even though my health and patient information had not changed. I take birth control to make my periods less painful. So they put me in a position where I'm going to be miserable until I can find a different delivery service to use.

Waiting forever.

My appointment was scheduled to be at 12. I got the text to join the waiting room at 11:30 - so I decided to hop on early. It it currently 12:30 and I am still waiting. The screen literally says "the avg wait time is 20 minutes..." So annoying - especially for someone working. I haven't even gotten my prescription with them yet and considering not continuing with this garbage service.

Rude costumer service

Bad costumer service. Bothering messaging forcing to new prescriptions when you still have 3 month supply. Slow answering to request/ not answering at all.
Also don't buy their products - they don't have ingredient list posted online and they not allow returns! Changing my provider ✌️
