As reading through the reviews seems like typical heybike don't respond to reviews and also emails
I purchased a Ec1 back in April 2024 the bike it self is well built in the time I've had the bike I've had 3 switches go on the display 2 replaced by the company I bought the bike from and one from heybike which I had to pay £50
Now the bike sensor has gone and they can't get a replacement until march come on heybike for a part that is so small surely you should have these spare parts in stock
And I have to point out the new upgraded display unit doesn't even fit properly on the ec1 like the original

The bike ist easy to drive and handle, cause it is so light. The supportservice is friendly, quick and super helpfull. I can recommand heybike

The Bike EC1 is best in regards of price/quality. The whole bike has good quality materials and the motor runs with enough power. Assembly of the delivered parts was easy to do with the instruction. I had to contact the HeyBike Support Team due to a question and got response within 24 hours. All in all a very good Bike and Service.

I contacted Heybike in July 2025 after noticing that additional batteries for their e-bikes were no longer available for purchase. They responded, explaining that due to recent customs inspections and related shipping restrictions, they were currently unable to ship batteries to the UK. They also stated they were awaiting confirmation from customs authorities on when shipments might resume.

It’s now October—three months later—and I have yet to receive any updates or communication from Heybike.

I purchased an EC-1 e-bike from them last year. Since then, I’ve changed jobs and now cover significantly more distance each week, making a second battery essential. Without the ability to purchase one, this bike is no longer fit for purpose. I'm extremely disappointed, and it now seems I’ll need to invest in a new e-bike entirely.

My advice: avoid buying e-bikes from manufacturers based in China. While the bikes themselves may be appealing (price, specs, etc), supply issues like this—particularly with critical components such as batteries—can leave you stranded. Instead, buy from brands that manufacture or at least distribute within the EU or the US, where you're more likely to have access to reliable support and spare parts.

Have now put just over a 300 miles on the EC 1 - mainly going to and from work . Easy to ride , comfortable ,enough power on the hills ( lots of hills where I live !) and great bike to look at . Nice solid bike rack to hold my panniers and all my bits/shopping . Small problem with my "on/off" button - currently being quickly resolved , nice to have the back up of the App to keep going . Purhased a Heybike ec1 and have been using it daily for about 6 months with no issues and have been very impressed with the bike - motor - comfort - and practicality all good.
Recently had an issue with the power switch and contacted customer services which i must say were first class in sorting my problem.
I would definitely reconmend the bike and the company.

I really like the look of the bike. The quality is in line with the price, and its light weight makes it perfect for city use. Above all, the responsive and efficient customer service truly makes the difference!

I love my Heybike I bought last May. It‘s fast, the battery holds long and for me the bike is very powerful. Even with a kid on a kids-seat or pulling a kid on a bike behind me. Unfortunately I had some issues with the power switch but the Heybike support helped me getting a new one. Thanks to Lila.

I recently placed an online order for the EC1 electric bike, and shortly after completing the purchase, I needed to reach out to Heybike’s customer service for some additional information.
From the very first message, the support team was incredibly responsive, helpful, and kind. They made me feel truly supported throughout the process. It’s not always easy to find this level of attention and care, especially after a purchase has been completed.

I’ve just purchased my second EC1 Heybike. (My partner commandeered the first one).
An excellent bike which is delivered promptly, it’s easy to assemble & charge. A very comfortable easy to operate e-bike. We love them.
Excellent customer service from the company & I’d particularly like to thank Lila for her care and attention. Any problems are resolved within a 24 hour period & we’d recommend Heybike to our friends.

Great bike and efficient customer service !

I purchased the hay bike Brawn and it's an absolute powerhouse! The mortar peaks at 1400 watts & it's lasted over 3 years now. I would have given the bike a five-star review but the torque arm provided by the company is not very good at all. Luckily I took it to a proper bike mechanic and he put it together and let me know right away that I would need to change it. I didn't really understand what he meant and rode the bike for about 1,700 km and yeah the torque on blew so I bought an aftermarket torque arm and had the same mechanic install it and now I have over 4,000 km on my bike. And hey bike actually sent me a whole back wheel via warranty and even paid for the shipping. The customer relations staff were very helpful. Very easy to reach. And very understanding of my problem! Thank you Hey Bike I absolutely love my Brawn!!

Nice e-bike. Comfy, good brakes and has a bit of torque so quite fun to ride.

Overall I am happy with my new Heybike I bought last year June. It feels very stable and is perfect for using it as citybike. The assembly was very easy, at least for me. :-) Currently I had some issues with the power switch and one of the breaks but the Heybike support quickly helped me figuring it out using my warranty claim. Thanks for the kind support Lila.

The bike is great, EC1-ST. Minor problem rectified quickly with customer support, with very speedy replies.

Had my Heybike EC 1 nigh on a year now & have been very impressed with its battery range & reliability. Also like the steel basket (optional extra), its very robust & great for carry shopping & collecting parcels etc. This bike is great value for the price.

Received my ec1 e bike very well packaged easy to put together. Downloaded app all good. I myself have a cube e bike but very impressed with the Heybike light looks like a hybrid. Rides nice. Will definitely recommend. Just like to say a big Thankyou to Jane at customer service very promp in answering my emails thanks for your help.

It's a really nice e-bike. I chose a white one.
Delivery was fast and complete.
Even tools for assembling came with it.
