Meat box despite “no meat” signup. No refund.
I signed up and selected that I do not eat meat. My first box was still scheduled with meat and was already paid. This looks like an onboarding or preference setup failure.
When I contacted support, the chat disconnected quickly and the interface made it hard to follow the conversation.
Support only pointed to the cutoff date and refused any reimbursement or credit, even though the box did not match the preference I chose at signup. I canceled my subscription.

vielen Dank für Dein Feedback. Es tut mir sehr leid, dass Dein Start bei HelloFresh so frustrierend verlaufen ist. Es ist absolut verständlich, dass Du enttäuscht bist, wenn Du bei der Anmeldung explizit fleischlose Gerichte wählst und dann trotzdem eine Box mit Fleisch eingeplant und berechnet wird. Das klingt nach einem Fehler im Anmeldeprozess, und ich kann vollkommen nachvollziehen, dass Du Dein Abo daraufhin gekündigt hast.
Es ist zudem sehr bedauerlich, dass die Kommunikation mit dem Kundenservice so schwierig war – ein Chat sollte helfen und nicht durch technische Probleme oder mangelnde Kulanz zusätzlich frustrieren. Auch wenn es strikte Bestellfristen (Cut-off-Dates) gibt, sollte ein Fehler, der bereits bei der Registrierung passiert ist, seitens des Unternehmens kulanter gehandhabt werden.
Ich rate Dir dringend, Dich noch einmal schriftlich an unseren Kundenservice zu wenden. Da die gelieferte Box nicht den von Dir bei der Anmeldung gewählten Präferenzen entsprach, möchten wir diesen Fall gerne noch einmal prüfen, um Dir eine faire Lösung oder eine Gutschrift anzubieten, auch wenn Dein Abo bereits beendet ist.

Super nice service. It saves time by not needing to plan the meals and related shopping, the variety is amazing, the food quality is very good. If you miss an ingredient from your package, you can report it with a couple of clicks and they refund you immediately for the missing parts. We got with the subscription free desserts, they were all amazing. Cannot recommend enough.

I d love to see more bio products. Often some ingridients are missing. The recipe could be more or more diverse, although the offer is wide. Less meat and fish maybe and more vegetables?

Everything is fine...at the beginning. But now, more and more faults happend. Mostly there are not all of the ingridiences in the package. that sucks...more and more. And sometimes we had expired meat (pork) in our package. if it happens more and more now...i will leave "hello fresh".

Very good quality and service! Full recommendation after 56 ordered boxes!
After consuming 56 boxes, I draw following conclusions: Very good receipts and food components with quality. Variation is also very good. Package delivery is very good. For the quality and the service the price seems fair. Adaptations of delivery and food choice is also very good. Since I use HelloFresh, the quality and variation of my food improved a lot and I eat more resonable portions. I would say I eat much more healthy now and cooking is more fun while not consuming too much time, most receipts are not too fancy. Its worth the price for me! Full recommendation.

The dishes are very tasty and varied. Fresh the ingredients. The recipe cards are easy to understand. On the other hand, the spices are often moist and solid. The recipe cards full of little mistakes Like wrong ingredients, missing utensils, missing work steps, but they can be logically derived. Sometimes ingredients are still questionably replaced by others.

The portions could really be more…
The portions could really be more consistent in their volume. Like some are double as big than others.
Also banning ingredients would be very usefull, since I otherwise, they are just thrown away. I dont even expect anything, it just hurts to get stuff you will not eat/can't eat.
Also sadly one can't select what you have at home, so that you are notified, if the recipe requires somethong, you don't have.

Dass die Portionsgrößen Deiner Meinung nach zu stark variieren, bedauern wir sehr. Unser Ziel ist es eigentlich, eine gleichbleibend hohe Sättigung bei allen Gerichten zu gewährleisten. Wir nehmen Deinen Hinweis zur Konsistenz der Mengen sehr ernst und werden dies intern an unser Team für die Rezeptentwicklung weitergeben.
Dein Vorschlag, bestimmte Zutaten komplett auszuschließen, ist ein sehr wertvoller Punkt. Wir verstehen vollkommen, dass es schmerzt, Lebensmittel wegwerfen zu müssen, die Du nicht essen möchtest oder kannst. Auch die Idee, Vorräte zu Hause in der App zu hinterlegen, um über fehlende Basiszutaten benachrichtigt zu werden, ist ein toller Ansatz für mehr Komfort in Deiner Küche.
