Money held hostage. Buyer Beware!!!
Front end seemed great, was so pleased to set everything up and get rolling. Then the wheels started to come off.
My first transfer of funds from my client was held by Bonsai for 7 biz days. (ok I guess...it's in their policy) Then my next TWO client transfers were held up for an additional 7 BUSINESS DAYS before being deposited to me. (I do not as of writing this have access to the $$.) I have set everything up correctly in my account, set up biz banking, been verified, etc. This is fraud and equivalent to what the large banks have done. Floating $$ and collecting interest. I tried to bring this up with customer service twice and was given a generic, unhelpful response. Each response took almost a full day. In addition, my banking card never arrived and I was never able to set up my external account with micro deposits. I finally connected it today via a diff method. All in all I've had a TERRIBLE experience and my funds are still held hostage by Bonsai. Just awful. Buyer beware.

They steal your money from your clients…
They steal your money from your clients when they pay you. My money has been sitting hostage for 10 days for no good reason. I have a debit card and everything connected. All they have is an email customer service so you’re are the mercy of whenever they feel like getting back to you. My payout is 2 days later so no reason this should be sitting in limbo. I want my money.
UPDATE: You responded that my payment processed, sure it did. 2 weeks after the client paid me. That is UNACCEPTABLE. Period.
We all have bills to pay and my rent was 2 weeks late because you held my payment from me for over two weeks. AND you took $17 from the amount I was given for fees.

Terrible Customer Support
I switched from Dubsado to Bonsai, but after contacting Bonsai support about an issue soon after signing up, it was clear that their customer support was very unreliable. It took them a day to respond to my issue and when they finally did respond they asked for more information. I provided it within 10 minutes of the request. Six hours later still no reply from support. If I treated my customer's support issues like this, I would be out of business. You need to step up your game as there are lots of alternatives available. You don't deserve my business.

Great program! Having proposals, time tracking, tasks, projects, and invoicing all together saves time switching between tasks and helps keep me organized as a freelance landscape designer. The customer service is prompt and excellent.

I am so impressed with this company! Direct, honest, and straight to the point and that's quite refreshing these days! I'm so tired of being mislead on the internet. Something states "free" on the website or search browser ends up backing you into a corner demanding your credit card info.

A mistake I made when signing up for Bonsai cash was painlessly resolved by Olivia from Bonsai. Great customer service and an easy-to-use interface gives me confidence I made the right choice choosing Bonsai for my client management platform!
Poor customer service
We have been using Bonsai for the past 5 months and have encountered several bugs. Unfortunately, their customer service is unreliable. You write to them and if you're lucky, they get back to you the next day, which doesn't work when you need to be sending contracts and invoices to your clients ASAP. I just had another incident yesterday and got a reply with a question today. I replied immediately and they still haven't seen it so who knows when it will be resolved. I've started to transition to HoneyBook which is far better and has great customer service so far!

Simple and COMPLETE
I searched SO MANY CRMs. I just wanted something simple but complete. Bonsai was the ONLY CRM I found that had just the tools I needed. The form templates were a happy surprise. So glad I found Bonsai!
The platform is great but customer service is...
The platform is great. The customer service is horrible.
They return inquiries within 24 hours but all of mine have been 2 to 3 days.
I asked a simple question regarding payouts and was told they are unable to service a business like mine (merch consulting) and I would need to find another platform.
When I followed up to ask a normal question as to why they were unable to service a company like mine, they wrote -
"Thanks for following up. Due to the proprietary nature of our review, I am not able to share the exact factors that led to the decision."
Happy to share the entire email chain to whomever is thinking about using this platform. It's good until you need customer service.

The fact that the POA/POA revocation was readily accessible as a blank template was better than the other websites which offered a free limited subsription and then hoped that one would lapse into monthly payments.
