Frustrating, Unprofessional, and Not Worth the Effort
We wanted to support a small local business...
Guess they didn't want that.
Trying to work with Hello Good Buy has been a nightmare. First, they are impossible to reach. The phone number listed connects you to some guy in Jutland who, understandably, is fed up with getting random calls intended for them. Emails go unanswered, and responses on Instagram are rare and vague at best.
The concept limits sellers to just 15 items for resale evaluation, which would be fine if they could explain it clearly. I tried to clarify if I could bring more, the responses were inconsistent and took hours. After three hours of back-and-forth, we gave up trying to get any real answer—switching between Danish and English with an attitude that felt completely indifferent.
The whole thing is a racket. They evaluate your clothes, then pay 40% in store credit or 25% cash on whatever they decide it's worth—pretty low considering they turn around and sell it at a steep markup. For a business that relies on people bringing in quality items, they treat potential sellers like a burden.
Look, Hello Good Buy: I’m bringing you fresh items, letting you pick what you want, allowing you to set the price, and letting you earn a profit. Yet somehow, I’m the inconvenience here?
