JUNK!! Do NOT waist your money or your time on these!!!!

Purchased for my elderly dad the end of May 2025. Had a 45 day trial period. On day 46 the hearing aids stopped working completely!? The company was unwilling to do anything to help. The Audiologist that we were working with was able to get the hearing aids replaced. We had to drive an hour and a half one way to the audiologist to have the aids adjusted. We would have to go almost every other week to have them worked on or adjusted, so much so that my elderly dad just gave up on them ever working consistently!?? They are extremely inconsistent !! It seemed that as soon as we left the office, the aids would not work properly!! We are still having to constantly turn the aids on and off to reset and hope that they work properly and most of the time they never work like we have been told that they should !!! And the company refuses to do anything!!! So now my elderly dad, who is on a fixed income, is basically out over $4900.00 for junk hearing aids that have NEVER worked like they should!!?? We went to a different audiologist and he said that with dads severe hearing loss, they should have never sold him these bottom of the line hearing aids!!?? I will never recommend this company or these aids!! Hopefully others don’t get screwed out of so much money to end up with Nothing!!!!
In response to hear.com’s reply- just as I stated: we had to travel multiple times to have the hearing aids adjusted and it seemed as soon as we left the office the hearing aids would stop working. They are extremely unreliable!! As I also stated , I spent hours on the phone with customer service and they could not figure out why they weren’t working or why they were so unreliable!!
The very first customer service rep that I talked to, before even starting the process told us that the hearing aids were just over the counter hearing aids and would not work for sever hearing loss. Should have listened to him, but the next person that we spoke with was a master manipulator and insure that they would work great for him!!? Just lies that convince people to trust them. Al they are about is getting the money! I stand by my review!! The hearing aids are junk and hopefully others will not waist their time and money on them!! Every time I talked with customer service it was just an excuse that the problems that we have were not normal, but with over 150 negative reviews and complaints to the BBB over the same things that we experienced, I think not!!! If I could leave a ZERO star review, I would!!!!

At his most recent in-office appointment, he was reported to be doing well with the updated fit. Since then, we have not received any reports indicating ongoing issues until this review.

We also understand that travel distance can be inconvenient. During the initial consultation, your father was informed of the provider’s location and distance, and chose to proceed with care at that office.

That said, we never want any customer to feel unsupported. Our team has made efforts to assist both remotely and through the provider, and we would still welcome the opportunity to help address any current concerns. This is an amazing business model

It was so convenient

It was so convenient! I got a box with everything I needed. They had a tablet in there that had to linked to my wi-fi & had an appt. with an audiologist right at my kitchen counter! Got my hearing tested,he tuned my hearing aids by the test results & I was able to hear clearly! Ups came & picked up the box. If I have a question or problem,their customer support are avaiable!

I was very skeptical when I called for…

I was very skeptical when I called for the 45-day free trial period. From that day I have been impressed with the customer service they provide. What I like most was the technology of the hear aids. I was disappointed when I could not hear clearly at the theater, but that was corrected by receiving new hear aids with a T-link. I think that everyone should be told about the T-link and it capabilities. I also added a stick to my tv and have totally enjoyed hearing it through my hear aids. That is another thing that I think everyone should be made aware of at the beginning. I was also skeptical about the hearing tutorials provided and encourage everyone to try to listen to them daily. It does make a difference.
I cannot say enough good things about my audiologist. She is very professional, responsible, and knowledgeable. She is a joy to work with whenever I need anything.

You can get your hearing tested and…

You can get your hearing tested and fitted for a wonderful set of hearing aids all from the comfort of your own home!! the staff involved are incredibly kind, patient, and professional. The equipment needed to do this process is sent right to your door. You are guided step-by-step through the process using a laptop that they send you These aids are practically invisible and you cannot even tell you have them on. I had no idea when I was missing by not having them. You get a free trial and a warranty with these aids I highly recommend them to anybody that is struggling with their hearing. My husband has a much worse hearing loss than I. I got him to try them and they are so much better than his traditional ones. His lasted one and a half days before he had to charge them. We are both 83 years old and wearing these has revitalized our marriage. We can communicate so much better and calmly. The best money we’ve spent in a long time.!!!

Have these hearing aids about two years…

Have these hearing aids about two years and hardly wear them. Every time I call for help I hang up more frustrated than before. Explaining how to use these hearing aids on the phone is very difficult. I said I wasn’t sure they fit right and they sent me a package of wires with no instructions on how to use them. Before I bought them I asked if there was an Audiologist near me that I could old go to for help and was told there was. But when I called for this elusive person they couldn’t give me someone to go to. Very disappointed with this very expensive purchase.

Buyer beware of false insurance claims

There is a definite problem with Hear.com and the issue of whether the product is covered by insurance. What I discovered. unfortunately, several months after purchasing and not hearing anything about whether a claim was submitted or what the status of the claim was, that the claim was denied because apparently most insurers do not insure hearing aid companies who administer a telehealth audiology exam. I was told that the claim that was submitted to my insuror, WellPoint, was denied and to make matters and even more confusing Well point says it was submitted incorrectly. I think the point of this a little message is that hear.com is definitely at fault for not informing prospective clients up front that the likelihood of their product being insured is practically nil. Had I known that I would have gone through my own audiologist at my own hospital--so a word to the wise. Thank you.

Zero to Hero

Ok !... I was not enjoying the Hearing Aids I purchased. Megan did a great job , She was empathetic and focused on helping me through the process. I almost offered her a job but thought that would be unethical. Megan should train others and have a career path that fits her goals.

POSITIVE IN EVERY WAY! PRO-CONSUMER AND GENUINE DOCTORS!

I will begin with my previous experience..just as a parallel experience.

For 8 years I had hearing aids from Company A. I thought I was in 7th Heaven....once a month free cleaning and a yearly evaluation. This continued for 7 years. I had yearly testing. Over that period of time after about 5 years when I told them of multiple problems which occurred. They would tell me I needed new hearing aids (I only did it one time) and of course the cost was first in excess of $2,000 and the second time the quote was $6800 ( I told them that was beyond our ability.....tooo bad. I had another test and they refused to give me the test results although by law those results belonged to me. This after many requests for same.
Then I decided to try HEAR USA. Everything was up front.They tested me and quoted me a price that was 2/3 the cost suggested by the other place..wth a 48 day trial period. After that period of time I could then decide whether they were working well for me, if yes they would be mine with their help and protection along the journey to good hearing. If they did not meet my satisfaction, I could return them with a money back guarantee! We (my husband and I) could believe it. For those initial 48 days I met with someone each week or two to discuss progress/questions/direction as needed.
We were more than satisfied....we were happy...the difference in our life has without a doubt been life changing. I have passed the message on to family and friends alike.

These are the best hearing aids that I have owned ( 4th pair ) !

These are the best hearing aids that I have owned. Easy to control and adjust with my phone. Adjust volume, several modes to choose from : speech, TV, music , direction are the ones I use most. I was skeptical, at first to purchase hearing aids on the internet. And , go to a technician not known or had been referred. However , as stated before the fiting, adjustments, and hearing aids them selves , are superior to my previous three pair from three different audiologists or technicians over a 15 year period of time.I can definitely hear much better . Softer speaking person in a group ? Simply ,discreetly turn up the volume.
