Gilleleje Havn har været fiskerihavn i langt over 100 år, og i modsætning til mange andre havne på Sjælland har man her stadig en levende fiskerihavn, hvor man altid kan købe frisk fisk fra bådene. Her blander travle fiskere sig med slentrende turister midt imellem alverdens. Havhøkeren har været en del af havnemiljøet de sidste 35 år, hvor den altid har været fiskernes butik. Her kunne man få de fleste af de ting, der traditionelt hører fiskerierhvervet til, og det var her, fiskerne førhen plejede at samles i baglokalet efter endt fangst for at fortælle røverhistorier. Havhøkeren er stadig fiskernes butik, men vi har valgt at udvide vores sortiment, så det også retter sig mod fritids- og udendørsfolket. Vi har derfor alt lige fra fiskegrej til arbejdstøj, sko, værktøj, fritidsbeklædning, sejlertøj – og en hel del mere. Fordi Havhøkeren er en del af Gilleleje Havns aktive miljø, har vi åbent alle ugens 7 dage. Butikkens ansatte er altid klar med venlig betjening på både dansk, tysk og engelsk.

Very nice quality

I bought some different webbings from Havhøkeren and they are amazing quality. I am actually going to use them for bag handles. The price was perfect - so different from buying inferior products from stores that sell textiles.

A very unprofessional and rude customer…

A very unprofessional and rude customer service representative
I bought a pair of rain pants from them on their webshop on a Friday late afternoon, and the item was sent to me a few hours after I paid for it. The webshop customer service was closed on the weekend. Therefore, I could not contact them if I had any questions and cancellation was not possible. I received the item the day after, on Saturday. The product was not what I expected so, I communicated with them through email, and they wrote back to me that according to their terms and conditions, I have to pay for the shipping if I want to return the item. I missed reading their return policy one of the reasons was because I have never experienced that before and I later on realized I had to pay 60 kr. for returning the item. Due to the ‘two weeks right of returning the item policy’ that we have in Denmark, I did not expect the customer shall pay for the shipping twice. Besides that, I buy many things online and had never experience this before. After I read their email, I called them on Monday and talked to a very rude lady ( Maria H. Ch) who carried the conversation out in a very unprofessional and unpleasant way and when I told her they won't get a good review from me, she got angry and said I should not threaten her????!!!! Are reviews threats??!!!
I just wanted her to know how unprofessional they are. I did not expect them to change anything but to know customer's satisfaction is important so are the reviews. She started arguing with me and her dishonorable reaction shows that they do not know the basic rules of doing business in free enterprise /-market economy 1) Customer is important… they are the reason you now have a job now 2)Customer Service representative has to be kind and helpful and try to understand the customer and find a good way to explain their policy 3) reviews are important as well. I told her I will return the paints and pay the fees but I also said they had to give the customers time to be able to talk/connect with their customer service department which was not possible because their webshop is closed on the weekend. She could handle the situation in a better way i.e. just apologize and say she understands me...this is their policy etc. But no... she had to raise her voice at me and keep arguing with me. Besides that, I find this ‘way to fast’ sending policy a kind of indirectly trapping/forcing the customer to take and keep the item. This is a new phenomenon that I sometimes experience with few purchases I have done online. But on the other hand, the companies that deliver the products very fast are usually more customer-friendly and flexible, which is not the case for 'Havhøkeren'. There should be a reasonable balance here, i.e. to give the customer a short time to be able to cancel their purchase or in case if they change their mind. There is possibility they buy an even more expensive product instead of what they have ordered, they should be able to do that before the item was sent.
I recommend ‘Havhørken’ to read other big and successful companies’ responses to customer complaints on trust pilot for instance Matas.dk, apropors.dk, nemlig.com, ilva.dk, etc. You will see most of them starts with…’vi beklager m.m. …’ if you compare it with your company’s responses, you will find out how arrogant and ‘selv- glad’ your company is.
PS: I have read all the bad reviews about your company and it’s very clear that you do not respect and take complaints from your costumers professionally and do not try to use them to make your service better. Therefore, I don’t want you to even bother to comment on my one-star review. If it were possible, I would give you a no star review though. As one of your reviewers writes too, your company handles complaints in a very arrogant way. As I already how you will react to this review, I want to ask you to please save your and my time and keep your rejection and denial for yourself.

Vi besvarer alle vores anmeldelser og naturligvis også denne. Det bliver på dansk, da vi ellers har kommunikeret på netop dansk – både på skrift og i tale.

Vi bliver nok aldrig enige på dette punkt for vi gør ALT for at sende vores kunders ordrer så hurtigt, som muligt og bestræber os på også at gøre det fremover. Dette gør vi kun for at tilfredsstille vores kunder og det er indtil nu blevet taget meget godt i mod. Vi er meget stolte over, at en ordre som din placeret kl. 13:50 bliver sendt kl. 14:00 samme dag. Vi løber stærkt hver dag for netop at få ordrerne ud til vores ventende kunder og vi elsker det.

Derfor blev jeg noget overrasket over telefonsamtalen med dig, som startede med, at du sagde, at du ville lave en dårlig anmeldelse af os og grunden til dette var, at vi havde afsendt din ordre for hurtigt og, at du ikke havde nået at tænke dig om. …. Du præsenterede dig ikke, men jeg vidste fra vores mails, hvilken ordre det handlede om.

Derudover handlede det om, at vi ikke betaler for returfragt på ordre under kr. 499 – det er helt korrekt og det står i vores handelsbetingelser, som du accepterede ved ordreafgivelsen. Dit ønske var at beholde varen og få pengene tilbage – det kunne jeg desværre ikke acceptere, men tilbød dig, at du naturligvis gerne måtte returnere varen.

På ordre over kr. 499,00 vedlægger vi en returlabel, som det står kunderne frit for at benytte, hvis det er aktuelt. Hvis den benyttes koster det kr. 39,00.
Alle ordrer, uanset pris, kan returneres inden for 30 dage og man bestemmer helt selv som kunde, hvilken leverandør man vil benytte sig af. Der er mange på markedet – og vi blandet os helt uden om, hvilken man vælger.

På intet tidspunkt er der blevet talt med hævet stemme eller grimt til dig – måske du har kunne høre min undren over at din klage gik på, at 1) vi havde sendt din ordre for hurtigt og 2) du ikke kunne beholde varen samt på penge tilbage for den. Vi havde besøg på kontoret under vores samtale og jeg har fået bekræftet, at samtalen forløb helt roligt og, at du valgte at smide røret på mens jeg forklarede vores vilkår for returnering og ombytning.

Shockingly unprofessional and over the…

Shockingly unprofessional and over the top rude treatment regarding complaint on purchase!

I don't mind paying for quality and I take very good care of my things.

I bought a jacket in May 2018 and when I came home, I discovered two small tears on the left sleeve.
Due to a severe personal tragedy that involved 5 months hospitalization, I wasn't able to make a claim to the shop until Sept. 2018, which I explained the first time I was in touch with the company. 
I delivered the jacket for examination and was told I would be contacted within the following week which didn't happen. I got in touch for a follow up where I was met by the rudest and most unprofessional person I've ever encountered, "Morten”. He started by asking me if I really thought he was stupid enough to believe that I would have bought a jacket that was ripped! I told him that the jacket had never been used and tried to explain that the tears where so small that I even had difficulties finding them to show the man behind the counter when I made my claim.

He then raised his voice talked to me as if I was lying and consciously trying to cheat my way to a refund. When I asked him directly if he was calling me a liar and accusing me of cheating, he said YES! (I have 2 witnesses to this conversation.)
 I have never in my 56 years been spoken to, or treated in that manor!
I eventually got a rejection for my claim as it was stated that "it was most likely was me that had damaged the jacket".

I would have thought that by examining the jacket (they certainly had enough time to do so!), they would have been able to see that the jacket hadn't been used!

It was very, very unusual circumstances and unfortunate that I wasn't able to make my claim earlier, but I really don't find it reasonable that I have to pay for damaged goods.
So, I'd advise anyone who takes the chance to buy from Havhoekeren to make ABSOLUTELY sure that they check, and recheck their purchase for any faults! Do not expect a refund, repair or to be met professionally if you need costumer service!

Ud fra Havhøkerens/Mortens tilbagemelding kan jeg da i hvert tilfælde konstatere, at han fastholder sin anklage om at jeg er en løgner, såvel som en bedrager.

Jeg vil lige påpege, at jeg inden telefonisk kontakt med Havhøkeren, skriftligt kun efterlyste en opdatering på sagen. En reklamation ville jo kunne indbefatte reparation og jeg havde således ikke nødvendigvis forventet penge i retur. Jeg købte jo jakken fordi jeg kunne lide den.



Mailen lød som følgende: ” Jeg afleverede min aldrig brugte nye blå “Active Camel” jakke der havde rift på venstre arm den 13.10 til en herre i forretningen. Jeg har ikke fået penge i retur, eller andet og venter stadig på, at I tager kontakt med hvad der videre skal ske.”



En overordnet høj rankering i Trustpilot har ingen relevans i forhold til min klage på elendig og ubehøvlet kundeservice. Ligeledes er det irrelevant om der tidligere har været reklamationer på jakker af samme mærke. Jeg forholder mig kun til min oplevelse og mit tilfælde og hvor de to små rifter på hhv. 0,7 mm. og 1,2 cm. opstod, vil jeg ikke forsøge at gøre mig klog på. Jeg vil lige pointere, at min kritik kun omhandler min telefoniske kontakt med såkaldte kundeservice.


Jeg stiller mig meget undrende til påstanden om, at fotos af jakken kunne bekræfte at jakken havde været brugt (jeg ville gerne have vedhæftet billeder) og jeg er altså stadig nødt til, at kigge godt efter for at finde rifterne. Jeg vil for en god ordens skyld påpege, at omtalte jakke har nu været i brug hele 4 gange.

Som det fremgår af Trustpilot har vi en meget høj ranking,
som er udtryk for vort høje serviceniveau.

Den jakke du reklamerede var af mærket Camel Active – et tysk kvalitetsprodukt,
som vi aldrig har reklamationer på.

Vi kan bestemt ikke genkende din beskrivelse af den jakke vi blev præsenteret
for og, hvor du højtrøstet krævede pengene retur. Flængen i ærmet skyldes,
efter vores opfattelse, en fysisk handling og samtidig var jakken ikke ubrugt,
hvilket fotos af jakken bekræfter.

Alligevel valgte vi at lade Camel Active vurdere jakken og de afviste totalt,
at den var reklamations berettiget.

We strenuously disagree with your representation of our complaint process.
As our current Trustpilot-rating infers, we are generally highly regarded in terms of quality and level of service.

The jacket you complained about is a German quality brand 'Camel Active' item, a product range which we generally never receive complaints about.
The description of the jacket presented by you, which you based your insistent demand for your money back on, is one we certainly cannot recognize.
The tear in the sleeve, in our opinion, is from a physical action and, in addition, the jacket was not unused which photos of the jacket confirm.

Despite of all this, we chose to let Camel Active assess the jacket anyway and they categorically rejected that it was a candidate for a complaint.

We are sorry that this transaction did not live up to your expectations and wish you a good day.
