Ripoff passes

Was looking to book when I found out the passes price is extortionate and it does not cover the cost of most of the activities as you have to pay extra on top of the passes. Not happy

Avoid!!!!!

Myself, my friend and 3 kids travelled to Craig Tara Haven holiday park and the caravan was absolutely disgusting. The worktops in the kitchen hadn’t been wiped down, coffee rings, dirty oven tray, dirty blinds, dirty windows, the shower was disgusting black mould the shower doors hadn’t even been wiped. The toilet was disgusting and it hadn’t been hoovered the rug was disgusting with things sticking to it. The caravan smelled like curry powder. After complaining the cleaning was redone and absolutely no change. Most disgusting expensive experience.

Disgusting. Contaminated water. Rude staff. Avoid at all costs

Location - The Orchards Essex. The one star is purely for the location and views. Everything else was awful. Day 1 when I arrived we were told we could use the water if boiled. We did. Me and my friend was up all night with a bad stomach. I reported it to onsite and was met with rudeness and the lady was very patronising. I asked for some more water as no longer felt safe boiling water. She refused and said policy is one a day. There was 5 of us. The weather was warm and was still told no. I was told couldnt be the water and must be something else. No empathy at all. This ruined the first day of the holiday as we were up all night ill. Dead rats in the water tank contaminating all the water is what we found out from owners on site. I have also reported our illness to them.

Then a child had an accident in the swimming pool. The child pooed. This was not closed to be cleaned. Absolutely disgusting. The toilets to Mash and barrel had poo everywhere and the family that had the accident in the pool left it and were laughing about it.

The caravan itself. We booked a signature by the lake. We couldnt see the lake due to the over grown grass. The main bed was broken and gave me a bad back. The glasses were all dirty. There were cobwebbs everywhere and we was not provided with oven gloves. We could constantly smell weed from near by caravans. With 3 children with us this was not the best experience.

The mini market was constantly empty for the duration of our time. So with burger king being closed for no reason at all, it was pizza or nothing. Burger king on the app said open vut had to order in person so we walked 15 minutes to find it closed. This should of advised closed.

Mash and barrel pub, again rude staff. The first night I booked a table to only be told they dont take bookings. I got my booking up and was greeted with rudeness and told nothing they could do.

I have looked on the environment health regarding the contaminated water and it is advised no children should take showers as can not risk going in eyes, nose or mouth. If adults take a shower then must becareful and wash hands with bottled water after. We were not advised this. We should of been told the severity of the water before coming. Not an email at 6pm the night before arrival just saying bottled water will be provided and they are working to get it fixed as quickly as possible. Little did we know this had been going on for 2 weeks prior already.

Overall this site is dirty and needs to be shut down. The staff also need some training on customer service as they very much lack this at every level. What could of been a fabulous week was ruined by all of the above. Avoid at all costs. Ive been to many haven sites and never had a problem until attending this site!

I stayed at Quay West Wales caravan…

I stayed at Quay West Wales caravan Camden 19 where I parked my car next to the caravan at the back I notice a huge rats nest, I reported it and it seemed as though to the person I spoke to it was just a minor issue. I asked for a refund and their response was you should have reported it in the 4 hours of arrival. I will now have to report it the Welsh environmental health as this is a serous cause for concern keep in mind small children are likely to stay and people with compromised health . Deeply concerned of how this issue as been dealt with. You can see active movement of rodents of site. Do better.

Truly awful. AVOID.

Haven, Burnham on Sea.
Truly, really, absolutely awful.

1. Beware, they don't tell you in advance that there is in fact ZERO mobile phone signal, nor Wi-Fi AT ALL in or around the statics on this site!
2. Unable to park any where near to ours as they had parked two statics in each of both the two car parks for our section of the site, blocking out half of the spaces of both parking areas. Maintenance said they'd speak to Sales (who'd apparently put them there).. but nobody moved them.
3. Water literally pouring out under the shower cubicle onto the bathroom floor during showers ...maintenance chap attended but failed to fix it. So bathroom floor just flooded after every shower.
4. Filthy shower cubicle and extractor fan.. See photos.
5. Bed slat fallen out as locating end piece was just lying on the floor underneath it.

We paid plenty of good, hard earned money for this utter and absolute rubbish Haven "Holiday" and nobody at Haven there could be bothered at all.
AVOID.

I had book the Easter weekend at there…

I had book the Easter weekend at there Kent coast park, I paid £575 pounds including their cancellation fee as my mum hadn’t been well, I had to cancel the holiday and was told I could have a 20% refund £115, you absolute robbing tossers, after an unreadably hard year and no holiday I booked this in good faith just to take my two youngest away and maybe do a bit of fishing to be told I can have 20% of my money back. I then said if this is the case I won’t cancel the holiday to be told too late the cancellation has been completed.
This is appalling, and must be fraudulent, anyone thinking of booking a haven holiday I strongly recommend you look elsewhere, and to add insult to injury the refund can take 35 days well I had my refund and it’s short they have given me £85 out of a £575 holiday, boycott this company at all costs, such a shame as most of there sites are located in beautiful locations, just a shame the company are thieves, I hope you sleep well at night 😡

Weekend break cancelled due to overbooking

I booked a weekend break for 13 March at Seaview in Dorset. Was given a 2pm time slot the Friday before. Less than a week to go I received a call to say that they had double booked and there was no available caravan at Seaview. They offered a change of park, a date change or refund. I opted for a refund as there was no alternative that was suitable. This is the 2nd time this has happened in 6 months at the same park. I was disappointed that I had to cancel but luckily it was only my husband and I that were going. Imagine the disappointment and upset this would have caused if this had happened to a family with children. I do wander if we are any easy target as there are only 2 of us and we haven't paid extra for passes. Families tend to spend more money in the restaurant, arcades etc. Something we wouldn't do.

New Years Eve getaway at Rockley Park

New Years Eve getaway at Rockley Park. Well where do you start! Entered the caravan on arrival dirty carpet microwave filthy as was the oven - who ever cleaned it needs to go to Specsavers (other companies available). There was a broom in the cupboard full of hair and filthy I would clean out a pigsty with it, no mop , no can opener . The lack of cups for the amount of people - I could go on and on. The main thing the key didn’t lock reported this to reception gave me another key which again didn’t fit, had to leave the caravan unlocked again back to reception when a very rude security person wish I had taken his name he was Scottish that’s all I have as he needs sacking. In your face pointing fingers telling me I needed to come with him. No this is my break which I have paid for thank you ….they needed to sort this out all in all a new door lock needed, why aren’t these things picked up. The park is pretty and the setting lovely BUT the caravans and maintenance is very very poor. The security guards on New Years Eve, I thought we were in a family environment not a night club in a city, I understand they need security Incase something happens but you don’t need Security guards with cameras recording kiddies at 7 o’clock on the dance floor constantly walking around which was very intimidating for family’s lots of people were commenting about it. One security guard not sure if that would be his title was rude very aggressive and in your face. This really needs addressing if they think that this level of security is warranted around families then they need to rethinking their New Year approach. This is the second time we have as a family of 12 have gone for the celebrations and this is the last. Been on loads and loads of Haven holidays over the years with my family and they certainly have gone down hill.

Thieving cleaning /maintenance staff

It was the end of the year and I was taking my autistic daughter away for a short break to give her mother a break so she could set up for Christmas .
We went swimming a couple of times, though the app didn't work, it was an average experience.
At the end of the break while exiting the caravan my daughter snuck back in to the small room with her Amazon fire tablet,
I didn't know she had taken the tablet in with her, it wasn't until we were 20 miles south of Oxford that she announced that it had been left behind in the caravan,
I immediately pulled over at Didcot services and called rockley park and explained the situation
18 sunset terrace (they know who cleaned that van or went into maintain that van)
This was two hours after we had left the caravan locked.
The reply was naa nothing found in that caravan.
The integrity of the either maintenance or cleaning staff leaves much to be desired.
We will never return to that haven site ever as some of the staff are very dishonest and are happy to rob and child with learning difficulties the conduit she uses to communicate and learn.
It wasn't ever put in to lost property despite chasing them up several times.
I would advise being very careful with anything valuable as there are some unscrupulous people employed by that haven site.
If I could give zero stars I would.
I do not recommend this caravan park

Everything is an add-on, very expensive

Haven website - probably the worst experiences i’ve had trying to book a break. Even out of season everything is an extra, even parking! I won’t be staying with Haven again. Sadly i didn’t read the Trustpilot reviews, another lesson learned there then. 16231931

I have a holiday booked for March and it seems as if you can only complain if on site or when you have completed your holiday.
Using chat service is pathetic as it only provides you with leaflets.
Why do they not just have a complaints email address.
Can't even answer a simple question as to what activities are included in leisure pass. Should have stuck with Butlins - seriously regret booking with Haven - second rate
Have emailed the head office and they do not reply.

AVOID

AVOID! Not safe! I have never been so disgusted and furious with any place as must as I am at Hafan yr mor. The way they completely disregarded my just turned 18 year old daughter safety and her friends. My daughter decided for her 18th birthday she would treat her friends to a holiday that she booked 6 months. On the day of the holiday they sent an email cancelling the holiday due to failed identity check. My daughter put the wrong address of our house by one number. Ok this was a mistake by her part. I understand this but to cancel it. So the morning of we had to book another holiday in which the price increased by 315 pound. We paid it and it was confirmed as paid. So off she went with all her friends on the 2 hour journey in a taxi. Then when she got there she was confronted by them saying it was cancelled again due to identity check as my daughter did not have her bank card. (Since when did this confirm your identity) her bank card was on her phone. She had her birth certificate as she hasn't got her provisional license yet. They did not ask for this anyway. I offered to drive the 2 hours with her bank card but they said it was already cancelled. They then escorted the group of friends of the site with security. No care of they had no where to go. No care to their safety. No care to it getting dark. No care what's so ever. They have completely put my daughter and her friends at risk stranded. I will be taking this further and taking legal action. Disgusted. The other parents of the other 6 kids that will be also complaining and taking this further. I believe they made up any excuse not to allow the 7 young teenagers. If they didn't want a group then when they book and you have to put the ages of everyone. Why allow them to pay and confirm the holiday.

The driver is very ill, I cannot get documents to prove. Its not a large amount of money.
