As always, Hattons provided a great service, terrific items and good information while an order is progressing. Items are very well packed for posting and arrive undamaged - I've not had a damaged item in the 10years I've been buying from them. Whether its a new item or previously owned, Hattons describe the item accurately and honestly, the only surprises are pleasant ones.

I have purchased new and used models from them on many occasions and have never been let down. Their delivery time is rapid and the second hand items have always matched the description give. I would recommend them to buyers whole heartedly.

i found they were very helpful when checking if i had ordered an item, which they sorted out quickly for me and then confirmed the order was now on it way it was quick and well packed would highly recommend them.

Couple of things . 1st is super fast delivery. Order a few bits at 9:30in the morning and sent out for delivery by 10 am on same day . 2nd is the box it arrived in was I really good condition with it being delivered about 24 hour after it was delivered. Some times boxes can get damage but not this one the only thing I can complain about is if you are buying a used box model they put a item sticker on it that covers up the end of the box that normally have the item name and what it is . Other wise brilliant service

Nice to find some of these often difficult to source models at reasonable prices.

i am always dubious about ordering from a company ive never dealt with, but hattons had what i needed so took a chance. my worries were completely unfounded. they kept me up to date with every part of sale to delivery. i recommend this company very highly

Do NOT use Hattons Model Money unless you have models worth jack.

I sold off a fairly decent selection of locos that I had due to personal circumstances and I thought I'd have a better sucess at selling through Hattons.

The process of listing them off was very easy and without fuss, got given a final valuation & got paid through my PayPal a couple of days later, great (or so I thought)

I then went to check the Pre-Owned site to see if my locos appeared (which they did), but to my surprise and horror all the models I sold to them came to a total cost of £394, except I was given a final offer from them in cash was only a PITIFUL £156!

How on earth can this well-known business in the hobby get away with such a shambolic selling practices in this day and age?

Disgusting, shameful, and I again for the second time will not use this service unless I have no other options.

I have used Hattons for around 20 years and continue to do so as my preferred UK model railway supplier. In all these years and over very many orders, I have only had problems with a couple of locos which I returned for full refund and postage. Easy to contact, quick to reply and always helpful. Excellent website updated daily. Their trunk service has been really helpful at reducing postage for hard to obtain second hand items. My only criticism is that the prices of second hand items are now very expensive. A highly recommended retailer!
