We waited 3 weeks to get the items we paid for, we had to call twice to the store 30 miles round trip each time and then the gas hob was faulty. The store manager said we would have to bring bach the faulty one before he would get another one delivered. The gas fitter wanted to charge 200 Euro until we complained then 150 Euro. We had a really bad experience and await yer compensation proposal before we bring our experience to the attention of the public. We can backup all this

Great service. Received a text message the day before and on the morning of the delivery, plus a call an hour in advance from the delivery driver. They delivered the order and removed the old appliance without delay.

The delivery crew gave up after attempting to squeeze my couch into a low doorway. I needed to remove a door and my wife and I managed by squashing the cushions. I signed a disclaimer so Harvey Norman would not be implicit if there were any damages, but this still did not encourage them to "go the full distance".

A superficially charming salesman showed me tumble dryers, but seemed to know nothing about installation (I was not told that a drain connection in the house was needed, for instance). He told me that he would arrange for free delivery due to my health problems (I'm registered as disabled). I wanted to discuss the purchase with a friend who's an appliance expert, and so the following day I made the effort to drive into the city so that I could avail of the delivery offer, rather than completing the purchase and arranging delivery online.
Sadly, the friendly salesman had changed his tune overnight, and I was told there were no free deliveries, but I could expect the machine to be delivered in over a week.
On the appointed day, the delivery company rang up to say they would be there before 13:00. They were over an hour late, meaning I had cancelled everything that morning for no reason. The van driver quickly had me sign a waiver before they would unload my machine. As a 64 year old woman, living alone with stage 4 ovarian cancer, I wonder how they thought I could lift the machine off of its packing components to allow for actual use, much less work out the plumbing requirements?
Anyway, these irritations paled into insignificance when I saw, as the delivery guys drove away, that, rather than curve the machine on the delivery dolly 10 cm around the gate's edge, had decided instead to force the gate to open past its hinges' tolerance, ripping the screws holding the gate out of the wall. This must have taken a great deal of force to accomplish; in fact, much more effort than it would have taken to manoeuvre the dryer around the gate. Thus, I've now got a repair job to do on the main fabric of my home, and no way to hold the perpetrators responsible (the waiver I signed to 'allow them to proceed with the delivery').
Sadly, this review platform does not allow me to add photos of the unnecessary violence done to my property.

recently we purchased a holiday home in sligo and needed lots of furniture. Harvey Norman has become our favorite place to shop. the prices are great but what we really appreciate is the customer service. specifically Emilia has helped a lot. we bought 2 beds because of her….she was kind and very quick to help. also, Nathan in the tv department was helpful when we needed to find a tv. thank you Emilia and Nathan. those two employees are awesome!
