Happy Hands Co. booklets are designed to develop and improve handwriting in children by guiding pen strokes and engaging the fine-motor muscles of the fingers and hands and storing these in muscle memory. This allows children to transfer the skills they learn in their Happy Hands Co. booklets to the classroom. The Happy Hands Co. booklets use embossed grooves to guide pen strokes. Our MAGIC pens use InvisInk which means that within a few minutes, the ink disappears, making our booklets reusable, environmentally friendly and super fun! Happy Hands Co. aims to reduce the hesitancy and fear that some children experience around writing by introducing an element of FUN with our MAGIC InvisInk pens! The pens' ink slowly fades and disappears after writing, making each booklet reusable, environmentally friendly and above all else - fun! The Happy Hands Co. booklets have all been designed by the owner, Melbourne mum of three; Nicole, keeping in line with Australian Curriculum handwriting guides to develop: - hand-eye coordination - fine motor control - correct letter shapes by following the suggested sequence of movement - consistent size, slope, spacing, proportion and alignment of letters - appropriate use of pen lifts - legible handwriting and most importantly, a positive attitude towards handwriting!

So disappointed with the order and…

So disappointed with the order and communication. The font size is extremely small in the workbooks to the point where it's not able to be used by my 4 year old. It’s advertised for ages 3+ but I don’t think it’s suitable for ages under about 7yrs. I contacted Happy Hands about this but they have not replied to me despite me sending a follow up. Really disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this company to others. There are lots of other great companies out there offering amazing resources for little ones so I’d recommend trying somewhere else.

Super fun and engaging resources

Super fun and engaging resources for your little ones handwriting journey! My son absolutely loves these booklets and of course the magic pens! Wether you are starting out on fine motor control or forming sentences these books really are an asset wherever you are in your handwriting journey! I particularly find the sight word book so handy to know what words I can familiarise my boys on! Being a future OT and neurodivergent mumma, I can’t rate these books high enough! Love the eco friendly beautiful packing!

Engaging & Effective! A must have

I purchased this product back in January, and since then, it has become an enjoyable activity for both my 7 year old and 3 year old. The books are engaging and fun, which motivates my sons to keep going. They love watching the ink disappear and practicing their writing.

In particular, my 7yo has struggled with handwriting and he would quickly become discouraged by it. However with Happy Hands he now has the grooves to guide him and we have noticed an improvement in his writing skills and his mindset towards writing.

We love our kit

We love our kit. My son always enjoys using it and his favourite part is the fading pen. It stays around long enough to see what you have been working on, but quick enough to not get bored.
The skills build from lines and shapes to letter and numbers. He also loves to use the pens on the inside covers to write other words like family names and favourite character.
We highly recommend the kit. We will get a lot of use out of it.

Not suitable for children 7 and above

Receivd my order but I am a bit disappointed as it doesn't seem to be very useful for my eight years old daughter. The lines fade too quickly and it should have included books at a bit higher level for kids 8 and above. It just comes with one sight word book which are the first 100 sight words. The alphabet and number books are good for younger kids but it's hard to get an older kid to write numbers and alphabets. These two books should be replaced by sight words or problem solving in maths. To practice number writing for big kids, times table would have been a better idea. It would enable them to practice number writing as well as learning times table. I would recommend it for preschoolers.

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Although I’m sorry to hear that that the Handwriting Kit you ordered isn’t suitable for your child’s needs.
I do recommend encouraging your child to continue practicing letter formations as the repetition will improve your daughter’s muscle memory allowing her to improve her handwriting overall.
Practice is key to progress and I wish your daughter all the best with her handwriting journey!
Best wishes,

Happy Hands Co is a wonderful company…

Happy Hands Co is a wonderful company to deal with. They make great products for kids who are learning to write. Such a brilliant idea. The books and pens etc are very well made and presented. The owner of the company is extremely helpful and does her best to make her customers happy. My kid loves the books I bought for her. They are used daily. My daughter's confidence has already improved after using these books for a couple of weeks.
Would definitely recommend to parents to buy for their kids. No matter what stage of writing they're at. They have books to suit different ages etc.
