We had an absolutely fantastic and positive experience using happinest for our planning sketches, application and building regulations plans. Dan and Teresa have been helpful and kept us informed the whole step of they way, meeting in person and having the opportunity to ask any and have answered any questions we had. It was good to have insight and opinions from experienced professionals on which factors could positively or negatively impact our plans being approved. The drawing to submission to council was completed in a matter of 6 weeks and the council approved the plans at the first consultation despite worries that asking for the maximum roof lift allowed by law may be pushing our luck! Cannot fault the service provided and we hope to start works this summer! Thank you to rhe happinest team, would highly recommend to anyone looking to get architectural plans or planning permissions drawn up and submitted.

We first listed a job online looking for an architect, and we were approached by a member of the Happinest team that “works in our area”. He seemed great and really helpful and keen to assist our project. What we didn’t know was that this person would only be taking the measurements of the house, so despite us explaining our brief/vision to him, the actual drawings were completed by someone in the central office in a different city. We then went through 3 versions of drawings as our brief had not been adequately relayed to the designers (something we didn’t know was happening until after we paid for our drawings to be released).
The drawings were first submitted to planners with an error and there was an obvious lack of attention to detail, with floor plans and elevation plans not matching. Our planning application was initially rejected, as local planning requirements stipulated a 1m gap to the property boundary- something that would have been known by a local architect. This resulted in a delay of over a month before our plans were approved.

We raised these issues with Happinest, who responded after 12 working days (despite stating we would hear after 5-7) and did not answer all of our points. They failed to take ownership of their mistakes, and did not issue as much as an apology in their reply.

Would not recommend Happinest and would advise finding a local architect for your project.

Teresa was absolutely amazing! After just a couple of emails and a phone call, I felt like I really understood the process. In this day and age, it's rare to find someone and a company who genuinely wants to help you. Happinest should be proud to have such a helpful and dedicated employee like her.
