Failed To Provide Quality Product & Customer Service!

I purchased four 50 lb. bags (200 lbs.) of erosion control seed. The ground was prepared with lawn topsoil before the seed was planted within. Watering was provided every other day as recommended, In five days it appeared the seed started to germinate.
However, after the seed started to grow it turned brown and died. The area is well drained with no flooding. I requested a good faith total refund of $672.00 and was advised by the companies representative, Abbigail Tuttle that someone would contact me. That was a lie, no contact with me was ever made. I will never buy anything from this company, total unsatisfactory customer service!

Avoid these scam artist - Hancock is not worthy of my business

The overall “sales” experience was actually very good (4 stars) It’s just a shame the product was a complete dude and didn’t live up to the hype. I was sold a 10 lb bag of basically crap. Actually crap would’ve produced a higher yield. The salesmen that called agreed with my assessment for overseeding my Charleston SC lawn and recommended the more expensive Bermuda verity and i fell for it. I had rented an powerseeder to break up the soli, applied the seed as directed (even a bit more) and basically got no yield. I watered everyday for the first week and every other te next 2-3 weeks…Nothing grew. Very dissapointed

After I placed 10lbs

After I placed 10lbs. of seed on properly prepared and fertilized turf in conjunction with a test pan, watered every day other than rain days for a month. You then have the audacity to imply it's my fault, that's absurd when not one seed germinated. Then to offer a 20% discount on more of the same, that's the earmark of extremely poor customer satisfaction. No doubt you'll soon discover there's a problem with that lot number although I'm certain you could care less. There's always social media for firms of this nature.

2 lbs of centipede seed

I purchased 2lbs of centipede seed in July. I spread it without sand with no problem using a hand-held seeder. I lightly raked it in with a leaf rake and then rolled it. I lightly wet it every day for 7 days. On the 8th day, it began to germinate. By the 11th day, it was apparent the germination equaled at least the 80% from the test date. I am very satisfied.

Ask questions first

I bought 100 pounds and it only had three months to be used since it had been tested six months prior and is only guaranteed for 9 months after the test date. Called the company to see why the see wasn’t sprouting and learned the hard way. I had communicated with them prior to buying such a large amount and they didn’t educate me on the longevity (or lack of) of the seed. So I have 48 pounds of seed that I can’t use. If I had known I would not have bought that much.

Worst company I have ever worked with

Worst company I have ever worked with. Spent $175 on some Arden 15 and had very little germination. They would not refund money and would only send me 1lb of seed as a replacement. Be careful if you are doing business with these people, they will take your money.
