Bad bad bad!

I have been ordering for over 6 years now and at the beginning all was good but in the last year it's gone so downhill!
At the moment I am waiting on 3 orders which on my account says completed!
They have a phone number which is pointless as all they say is they will get someone to contact me and take my details but no one calls!
After I get this sorted I'm done with them.....
Seems to be total balls up !

Very hard to contact, Not received Paid for orders,

Upon ordering with this company 2nd time round, nothing gets better. Firstly i have to send email upon email and with each response i get a tiny bit more information. However this information isnt providing much detail. My order totally vanished and its taken nearly 30days (contary to halfcost's t's and c's) to even get near a refund or a hint of one. Sad to say in the process of closing my account with Halfcost.

Items out of stock and order got cancelled.

I have been a regular customer of halfcost for many years, however on this occasion they let me down badly. My order was placed on the 9th jan 16. I was told on the 13th that one of my items was out of stock I ordered 6. I thought that was strange I can understand there being less than 6 but not all of them out of stock. So I checked on there website and it was showing 4 left in stock, I tried to call them but the advisor simply took my details and said someone would call me back, no one did, but I got an email on the 13th January at 17:05 saying we are unable to amend an order. Well since it was there mistake I would have expected any order can be amended especially since it had not even been dispatched. I have called 14th jan at 10am and again they will not sort out the problem there and then they just take your details and say someone will call you back, no one called me back today. I have gone on there website again and the item I wanted has increased in price from £12.99 to £16.99, surely that is against the law to cancel an order then relist the item the customer ordered at a higher price? As you can imagine I am very annoyed. I have been ordering from these people for years and there is always something not in stock on my order.

Ordered from here regularly

I have bought all sorts from this store with no problems. The items have been depleted recently though so stock not as appealing as it used to be but they are quick on delivery and still one of the cheapest sites around.

It's been over a month now...

and I STILL don't have my order or a refund. My order went missing and was told I had to wait 15 working days (!) before they would do anything about it - surely if they use a courier like they "claim" to, they can track where their deliveries are?? I then had to complete a "declaration" form that they would send out in the post, in order for them to investigate - this also failed to materialise! It wasn't until I threatened to get trading standards involved did they agree to refund my money. This was over three days ago and I am still waiting! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! SHODDY AND UNPROFESSIONAL!

Appalling , unfortunately & will not use again!!!

I used Halfcost a few times with no problems , but once again I was enticed by the prices & thought there would be no problems but was very much mistaken!

I tried to place an order on New Years Eve but the site crashed on the payment page , so I tried again , it crashed again so I tried one last time then gave up!...

You guessed it , the very next DAY 3 X payments for £25 were TAKEN from my bank account with no order confirmation or order histories on the site , they are QUICK to take your money but SLOW to refund & now a WEEK later I received one order confirmation for an order I no longer want but they said I cannot cancel it so will have to refuse at the door and wait ( don't know HOW long! ) for a refund & that they are ''looking into'' the other 2 payments being taken and that they will get back to me but customer service was shoddy and very uncaring as this has actually put me in hardship now which is NOT how I wanted to start the New Year along with stress and worry about how and when I AM GOING TO GET MY OWN MONEY BACK - Will NEVER use them again , its a lottery , and all you gain is STRESS when things go wrong & you have to chase them up for your own money back which they seem happy to take and to hold on to = SHODDY to say the least!!!!! :-( :-(

rogue company

Dont use this company. i bought a laptop, which was faulty and they wouldnt send courier to pick it up and ended up getting credit card company to seek redress of money. AVOID!!!!!

Terrible !!

Worst company i have ever dealt with.

You have no idea until you receive your order that items are out of stock - It then takes weeks if not months to get a refund.

Should an item arrive damaged - Useless. Promised to send a courier to collect within 7 days - No courier collects.
Several emails later , several days later reply states they will chase & courier will collect within the following 7 days.
Courier eventually collects on day 14. - A week later , still no refund & they say they have not yet received the damaged item.
Week 4 - Still no refund & 4 days after chasing - No reply.

No contact Telephone number so everything has to be done via Email.

I would strongly advise people to avoid ordering from this shambles of a company. I am almost on the verge of a breakdown after dozens of emails trying to get my refund for the last 4 weeks & i am still no closer to getting it ...... they still have my £100

One word sums them up - Terrible !! ....

Very poor service!

Halfcost say items have been despatched when they have not got them in stock. Response to emails are slow. Refunds very slow. No telephone number to contact them directly you can only leave a message! Poor customer service no apology when a mistake is made. I would definitely not recommend to anyone do not let the cheap price entice you its not worth the hassle!
