Dreadful from start to finish. Only booked with them as they had a 5 day delivery time but took more than 3 weeks for the goods to be delivered. Yes there was a driver strike in-between but had little communication from the company regarding this and then when my goods were "scheduled" to be delivered it still took a further 2 days for them to actually be delivered. Unbelievable frustrating as I had work lined up to be done and had to reschedule twice at my own inconvenience and cost
First time purchase from Haldane Fisher... and the experience has been awesome. They didn't quite have what I ordered and a very knowledgable person gave me a call to discuss options and we came to an agreement... what arrived was just perfect.
My Newry store is fantastic, everyone is so helpful and knowledgable. Product quality is excellent and pricing is always competitive if not the best.
Carl is a star. He helped us with all our new doors, handles and woodwork for our new renovation. Always on hand to answer questions and a pleasure to deal with.

No prior notice of delivery, turned up out of the blue with the wrong concrete blocks and no stones. Driver was nice about it, he pointed out he knew it was wrong but was told to just bring it anyway. Was sent back over a week ago and I've heard nothing since. Emailed but with no reply. We were just about to head away for a few days too, I would hazard the guess if I'd not been here the wrong delivery would just have been left. Still waiting on the outcome, but very poor so far.

I asked for very specific delivery instructions, and I was disappointed that they didn't tell me when they were going to deliver the materials like they said they would in order confirmation email. They just turned up without warning and I wasn't at home. Saying that, I will still give 5 stars as the driver interpreted the instructions correctly and put the materials exactly where I wanted them, well done to him.
Just FYI, don't tell people you will contact them to organise the delivery, and then don't.

I placed an online order for 250kg of gravel and payment was taken immediately. The order was accepted without any indication that my chosen branch, Balmoral, didn't actually stock the product.
I then received emails explaining that Balmoral didn't have the gravel in stock, that it would be collected from the Lisburn branch and delivered on Wednesday 24th. That date has long since passed and I'm still waiting.
To make matters worse, my emails chasing the order have simply been ignored. Poor communication is frustrating enough, but ignoring customers after taking their money is completely unacceptable.
What I don't understand is why your website allows customers to place and pay for orders at branches that don't even stock the goods. Stock availability should be checked before payment is taken, or customers should be clearly informed before completing their purchase.
I also noticed that the responses to negative reviews on Trustpilot all appear to be the same generic copy-and-paste message, promising to contact reviewers "as soon as possible." Based on my own experience of having my emails ignored, I find those responses difficult to believe. It's easy to post a standard public reply; it's another thing entirely to actually respond to customers and resolve their problems.
This has been a thoroughly disappointing experience from start to finish. I'll never use this company again and certainly won't recommend them to anyone. There are plenty of other builders' merchants who value their customers, communicate properly and deliver what they promise.

I was not notified of the delivery day/date, despite providing both my home and mobile phone numbers. The company had my email too, from the initial order. However, the driver on the day was excellent and was able to place the items exactly where I wanted them, using the vehicle's hydraulic crane lift.

The Bangor Team’s customer service is nothing short of fantastic! I made an online order but being in Belfast I needed the items quickly and the Bangor store could not help me enough.
