The worst quality and customer service I ever experienced. Bought a 180€ jacket in the online shop. During the very first try on (label‘s still attached) the main button fell of.
Customer service refused to even give a discount on the item. Return label is 30€. Advise against buying. The overall look and feel of the jacket is also rather cheap.
The clothes are great, but I'm disappointed by the surprising customs charge. Judging by the other reviews here, I'm not the only one to have been caught out by this.
Gutteridge's comments here will point you to their T&C's, which to be fair do mention the charges, but it's buried in the middle of 5,000 words of technical terms and conditions - and absolutely NOT clear at the time of purchase.
If you, like I, have been directed to the shop via an advert on social media, you'll be directed straight to a website that features pounds sterling throughout, with no indication whatsoever that you're actually buying from a European retailer, and completing the online transaction without any prior warning of customs charges.
So to the Gutteridge team - judging by these reviews you clearly are surprising a lot of UK buyers with these charges. I can't help but think it would be easier if you included a clear indication or popup at the checkout to UK customers when purchasing an item to warn of the import charges, instead of burying the information deep within T&C pages (which let's be honest, no one reads). Then you could easily avoid a lot of annoyed customers, who presumably won't be back for more.

Deliveries outside of Italy are sometimes not possible. But you don't find this information on the webpage. So then you order the goods, pay for them and then you never hear something about it from the company.

Purchased a suit, shirt and tie for a business trip to the Middle East, on returning to the UK later checked the suit to get the trousers altered and noticed the shirt was threadbare COMPLETELY. It was not the one I tried on in-store, it was replaced with a faulty shirt knowing I was going back to the UK.Customer service came up with every excuse in the book eventually saying faults need to be reported in 48 hours, impossible for an overseas visitor, the quality was absolute rubbish, buyer beware, would have spent a small fortune with them but never after dealing with their costumer service.
By the way, the shirt was still in the bag, never used, worn, washed or ironed, straight out of the bag, clearly they hide behind the lie that their goods are throughly checked for quality and use that as an excuse, just goes to show what they call quality!
In response to their reply, this is typical of their poor customer service, they where sent photos and the labels and use every excuse not to replace their faulty goods which is rubbish. BUYER BEWARE!

If you want to argue with the company about your warranty rights and feel that you are another idiot who left your money, for crap wrapped in gold paper - Gutteridge is just right for you. Customer service don't respect the law of customers , and customers at all. That how the opinion of waranty service looks like :

In shortcut : we used to check all the products , and there are no possibilities for any damages . Your cloths are broken after one seson ? Order placed and confirmed. A week later, no contact with regards to shipping information. When I reached out to customer service, they informed me that the product in fact isn’t available and that they would refund the purchase. The product still shows as available on the website.

The products are great but I've never seen a customer support that bad in my life. It's reason enough not to buy anything from this brand. As soon as you are missing a part or need help, they want you to buy a new product even though it's already brand new.

I live in the UK and bought a suit for £227.20 from this company which advertises free shipping on their website. A week later I had an email from Fedex charging me £90.96 for duties, taxes and fees. I asked Gutteridge to cancel my order which they refused to do saying that I should have read the terms and conditions. When I received the suit I did not like it and they charged me a further £30 for the return. I am a teacher and the loss of £120.96 is a significant blow.

This review is about their customer service which is horrendous. I bought two pairs or trousers, a shirt and a belt and the belt is the only decent item there.
The trousers came with a security tag still attached and despite ordering two trousers of the same size (44) one fit almost perfectly and the other (the one with the security tag was completely unusable due to being incredibly small. The holes at the bottom of the trouser legs were all different sizes, the same foot could fit through one and not the other. I don’t know much about tailoring but I’m sure that that’s not normal (not that these clothes are tailored).
The shirt although on the size chart should be a little big for me. Was very tight around my elbows but perfect round my collar. For reference I’m 6”2 (~186cm) and 76kg (not exactly a body builder).
I’m a UK customer so I’m likely liable for the £60 duties bill which they refused to help me avoid by changing the order address before it left the warehouse. I could be blamed because of the tiny clause in their terms and conditions that says customer are liable for this charge but they do not mention this anywhere else in the payment process and let’s be honest no one reads the terms and conditions unless something goes wrong.
Despite all these problems, Gutteridge say they will not refund replace or exchange. They will only accept returns for which I’ll have to pay £15 postage and an additional £30 “administration fee”. I don’t have much choice given the order was £182 + £60(duties+tax). Even though they have it in their own terms and conditions that if they sell defective items I can demand a replacement or refund, they’ve told me no. Not sure what I will do yet but I definitely won’t shop here again unless I can get an adequate resolution that isn’t completely unfair to me the consumer.
I will add that their materials and designs are nice but their customer service are simply awful and I’m not sure how they can get away with this. They do reply quite quickly but what’s the point if they can’t solve a single thing.

I purchased 2 sweaters, two t-shirts, and a light jacket from a store in Palermo. After returning home I realised I wasn't very happy with the jacket. After attempting to return in the store only 2 days later I am told only an exchange is possible. However, if I had purchased the jacket online then I would be entitled to a full refund. Suffice to say I will never be shopping with Gutteridge ever again. That's how you lose customers. Good luck to you!

I love the clothing at Gutteridge, I had a jacket I needed to return; however, I couldn't fill out the form on their website. After reaching out to their Whatsapp support they filled out the return form for me in a timely manner.

Sent the wrong size and are completely unresponsive to messages via different channels (email/whatsapp/facebook). £30 return fee on £35 item (despite it being their mistake). Nice clothes, shame their online sales are an absolute mockery.

If I read these comments I would never ordered.
I ordered three sweaters and a jacket two weeks ago, they haven't arrived so far and I have no tracking number and on the website when ordering I don't see the order I have in my email.
A few days later I placed another order for 300€ for a suit, two pairs of shoes and more sweaters. They took my money and out of the whole order they only sent me the suit pants and a pair of socks. Although I ordered my size 52, the pants were huge. I returned the pants and socks but no sign of the first order.
Regarding customer service, they don't reply to my email or whatsapp.
