Guru walks is a great app to find local people full of local knowledgr
I’ve done a few of these and they have always been great, lovely people taking the tour who have so many interesting facts and are happy to answer questions. I’ve done two today in Hue and both guides were helpful, interesting and informative, I thoroughly enjoyed my tours with them.

Excellent tour of Funchal - would recommend!
Great communication from start to finish; Eduardo was enthusiastic and passionate about everything we visited on the tour and about Madeira in general. He made the tour interesting and fun and we saw all that Funchal had to offer. I thought 2.5 hours may have been too long but it went quickly and was thoroughly enjoyable. Would definitely recommend Eduardo.

A first class guide really made our walking tour of Athens
Took a walking tour of Athens and found it first class. Our guide Walter was superb and made the tour very interesting. Walter was obviously so passionate about the history of Athens and was keen to share his knowledge. He was happy to answer any questions and really made it such an enjoyable experience.

A fabulous tour with Mike
A fabulous tour with Mike, our Guru. Being new to the city, we were stretched coming from Salford to the meeting point by bus. Not only did the central phone contact respond directly when I phoned to tell them we would be late, but Mike was aware of this and welcomed us warmly by name on arrival. The tour itself was exceptional. A full potted history of this great city, with Mancester bands' music played as we strolled from place to place. Fascinating and knowledgeable, Mike made the whole time so interesting and fun. Thank you! Totally recommended ******

From the moment we met her, she brought such a warm, friendly energy to the group and instantly made everyone feel comfortable. What really stood out was her incredible knowledge - not just facts and dates, but the stories behind them. She brought Hoi An to life in a way that felt engaging, personal and easy to connect with.
Q has a beautiful way of interacting with everyone, making sure no one felt left out. She checked in often, encouraged questions and genuinely seemed interested in each person in the group, which made the whole experience feel more like exploring with a friend than being on a tour.
Her passion for her city really shines through, and it’s clear she loves what she does. We walked away not only learning so much, but also feeling like we’d had a really special, memorable experience.
