In the beginning things went well and I received weekly payouts for the products I sold on Gumroad. But about two months ago they stopped sending me money, even though there are earnings on my balance. All tries in contacting support have failed so far. I managed to get the annoying AI support to 'escalate my issue to a human' but never received a reply. They are just keeping my money. I removed all my products from Gumroad but kept the account active in the hopes of ever receiving my money. But at this point, I can only call the entire operation a scam.

I thought Gumroad was going to be great because the website is so easy to use.

But, I published a book on Gumroad, and when I bought my own book and opened it on the app on my Google phone, I noticed a problem with the list of pages.

There is no way to scroll to the first pages. I can only see the last 16 pages to choose from.

What if a person wants to choose a page from the top of the list.

There is no way to contact the Customer Service at Gumroad. So none of my issues can be resolved.
There is no help button.

Also my customer can't access her e-book anymore.
I tried so much to find a way to contact Gumroad but found nothing.
I think it will be shut down soon.

Awful just awful and I was new to this process I keep getting notifications of sales yet I suspect its page visits. I hope its not sales because no money is going to my account nor am I nor have I ever received a payout. I tried unsuccessfully a few times to contact someone, anyone via email. Wouldn't waste your time.

One star, used to be a five star for me, however with this new AI support system, none of my issues could be solved, there seems to be no actual humans able to respond to support emails.

Same issue a few months back, was solved in less than 10 minutes by an actual human.

Beyond disappointed.

Scammers! I cannot even change the payout method anymore and there's simply no option available to remove the payment method and add a new one. don't waste your time and money!

I can't withdraw my money from 2 different accounts already. The bank withdrawal settings are not optimized correctly.

It is the worst site I have ever worked on. Anyone who pays sells, but otherwise you will not sell anything for life. It is a bad platform

The main issue I’ve encountered with Gumroad is that the platform’s owner seems to prioritize his personal goals over those of anyone else.

This approach has turned Gumroad into a hugely unreliable partner and made it an unpredictable platform. A loose cannon. A weak link in your business stack.

In my years using Gumroad, I’ve faced several major issue:

1. Persistent bugs and UX/UI issues that remained unresolved for years.

2. A high incidence of chargebacks fraudulent buyers compared to my other platforms.

3. Sudden, and very significant Gumroad fee increases, with no appreciation for the highest-earning creators, especially those who were early supporters. Effectively, all top-tier quality quality creators were forced to leave in early 2023.

These experiences suggest a focus on short-term gains at the expense of long-term creator relationships.

Im other victim to the gumroad scam sadly i lost over 10k and they don't even respond to emails. Avoid at all cost.

scammers double charge me, i have proof of double charge on card, and in gumroad, their bot even acknowledges the double charge, but they wont give me refund, and when i harass them for it, i get blocked by the bot.

I subscribed to a creator about a year ago, and despite cancelling the subscription every month Gumroad tries to take money out of my account. Avoid them at all costs

Can only agree with all the other 1 star ratings, utter scam of a company, theft at the very least

Gumroad The platform claims to empower creators, but it actively supports scam websites and those selling copyrighted content without proper authorization. This not only undermines the trust of legitimate creators but also allows dishonest sellers to profit at the expense of others. Gumroad's lack of accountability and proper moderation is unacceptable for a platform that markets itself as a safe space for creators and buyers, I cannot recommend this platform to anyone, a sketchy company.

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Gumroad. My account has been suspended for weeks, and despite sending multiple emails (at least five) regarding accessing my funds, disconnecting my Discord account, and canceling subscriptions, I have received no response.

To make matters worse, Gumroad’s website indicated all week that I was scheduled to receive a payment. However, on the day of payment, the status abruptly changed to “payment skipped” due to the account suspension, leaving me with no access to the funds I rightfully earned.

As a platform, Gumroad’s lack of communication and transparency with its users is unacceptable. I expected better support for creators who rely on their services. Until these issues are resolved, I cannot recommend Gumroad to anyone.

I ordered from this company. I never received an invoice or an email concerning my order. There's no contact information and when I emailed Gumroad support, I never received a reply. Scam of a business!! If I could give less than 1 star, I would!

Im a creator on gumroad, they havent paid me in more than 2 months now.. no one answers their email, scam company.

If another creator have this issue, spam their Twitter account and let others know what a scam company this is.

Gumroad was good before but now it become the worst platform and they do shady things just to let go your balance after your hard work. STOP USING THEM AND WIDTHRAW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I reached out to support to request a second chance to reactivate my Gumroad account. Unfortunately, their response was not as courteous as I had hoped. They indicated that they would not be providing another opportunity, stating, "We cannot grant a second chance as it appears you will no longer be using your account."

Scam company. It bills your credit card more than what stated. Also it keeps sending you promotional emails even though you have supposedly unsubscribed from them. Do not trust any company who does this.

You get signed up for marketing email lists automatically and without consent as soon as you are signed in and just try to purchase something. Incredibly scummy.
