These folks are absolutely wonderful. Not only do they have some of the coolest toys and funnest ( is that a real word? ) ammo, but their personal customer service is exceptional.
I ordered an item that was out of stock EVERYWHERE, but here I could backorder it. Being impatient (like I always am) I reached out to them about delivery times. The owner called me by phone the next morning. He told me that the item was coming in on the next shipment, which would be about 4 days. That satisfied me. We got to talking and I mentioned that I actually wanted the 12" version ( I had ordered the 9") and he said " I might have one in the warehouse."
Sure enough, that 12" stock, which is sold out and pure unobtanium everywhere else, was in the mail to me the very next day. No need to wait for that delivery from Spike's. ( I'll also mention that the box was packaged very securely, lots of padding. Everything got here unscathed. )
Customer service such as this is rarer than a Spike's Kaos 12″ AGP Side Folder stock. He won my patronage for life.
Small "Mom and Pop" shops are a dying breed. Its unfortunate because they have the fun stuff that big box stores are afraid to sell. Even more importantly, they offer customer service that makes you feel like a friend or family, and not just an anonymous & faceless order#.
Please do your best to buy from and support sole proprietor businesses. Lets keep this backbone of American capitalism alive and healthy.
