My first (and the last of course) experience with Alibaba.com. I paid in full, NOT received anything in return. Once over 60 days shipping, the order is marked as completed and Aliaba denied any further responsibility. Looks like this service in intended for Chinese customers only. On my request to the seller a downright mocking message is received.

I have been a user for a number of years and I placed an order before Christmas and paid for it through Paypal and it was never delivered thanks to the wonderful Evri and their ongoing failures to successfully operate a delivery service. Anyway, when Evri eventually admitted they’d lost the package, and I requested refund, Alibaba only refunded part of the payment saying they wouldn’t pay any import taxes incurred relating to the purchase.
I have now tried repeatedly to cancel my Alibaba user account on their system and the pin required to do this is never sent to my email account. I have tried the online help service, and they just told me to try what I already had done numerous times, when I said this failed to provide a pin they then gave me an email address to write to and cancel my account, that was nearly a month ago and I’ve had no response and the account is still active.
They also constantly send out email and txt promotions with items at attractive prices but when you click on the item it takes you to a different product all together, what a waste of time.
This platform is not operating within any form legitimate business rules that we have or expect in the UK, and I’m just fortunate my purchase was a small one and not something very expensive, as I would have been left well out of pocket with nothing to show for it.
Save yourself the hassle and stay well clear of Alibaba!, from now on, I certainly will.
What a load of rubbish
What a load of rubbish. Bought a phone which I had seen reviewed and ignored what the seller was advertising. The seller advertised the phone as having 1tb of memory and 16gb of ram. I knew this was wrong as I know the phone should only have 256gb of memory and 8gb ram. What I didn't expect was that they would clone a phone which was already a budget phone and send me a load of garbage. They sent a phone with only 16gb memory and 2gb ram. When I tried to send the item back they made it very difficult. I don't want their products but they wouldn't accept my return request. Stay well clear of this site. Sticking with AliExpress in the future. Never had a problem with items or return requests.

I have used Alibaba for 5 years but in the last 18 months, there has been a switch in perspective by the Chinese as to you buy it, its your problem. The sellers and people who run it seem to be the same people. Thy can liaise outside of the platform and speak in Chinese should the goods not arrive or be defective. I wont be buying anything again from them after they refused to refund me for faulty goods. The seller didnt even put up an argument and they wanted me to take a picture of 1000 items all defective on a floor space. Scamming and Fraud of Alibaba Shipping Agent
I paid USD 350 for a shipment with Zhimei Express International Freight Forwarding, fully agreed for 750 kg, door-to-door (DDP).
What went wrong:
• The agent transferred my cargo to another agent without my consent.
• I have lost all tracking of the goods.
• Multiple agents are now demanding additional payments (USD 1060) with no explanation or cost breakdown.
• My original payment of USD 350 has not been returned.
This behavior is misleading, extorting, and violates Alibaba’s Trade Assurance policies. I urge Alibaba to take immediate action and protect buyers.

I contacted a shipping agent and everything looked legit.
After the agent received my goods for shipping, she forwarded my order to another store that she owns with a terrible account and a lots of negative reviews.
This same agent then used the new store to raise an invoice with complete lies.
Firstly, the invoice shows sale of 400 beads ( I never bought beads, I only wanted her to ship my goods) then the wrong amount.
I then refused to pay for or approve an invoice that clearly states the wrong transaction.
How is a seller able to raise false invoice and not care if Alibaba finds out about it? How is this allowed on their platform?. Raising a completely false invoice.
Seems Alibaba customer service are aware of this scam on their platforms and there’s nothing being done to resolve it.
The seller now has my goods and has stopped responding to my questions. Not sure what to do. We’ve lost money and still don’t have the good.

Alibaba customer service agent Anna, was very helpful in resolving my issue for an item that I purchased that I never received, it was sent by the seller to my address but unfortunately due to the couriers neglect it hadn’t been received. After speaking to a couple of different agents I finally got passes to Anna who’s was brilliant and got this resolved.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Anna and i hope Alibaba notice that you’re a great asset to the customer service team. Thank you for following everything up that you said you would. As this wasn’t the seller’s fault and they provided the evidence it was sent I will definitely shop with Alibaba again I’m sure this was just a rare occasion of courier neglect why I hadn’t received my item. I made a purchase on the Alibaba website and paid directly there, which included a service fee. I also opted for inspection, but the seller refused to have the item inspected, raising a red flag. I inquired about this and discovered that the item I ordered was 90% different from what the seller intended to send; it was old and used. I reported the scam to Alibaba, and while they issued a refund, they kept the service fee. If I had paid through PayPal, I would have received a full refund. And Alibaba does a poor job keeping their website clean, and making sure suppliers don't lie, deceive, or send lower quality than goods, than the promised ones.
Chinese people can feel ok lying to you, and Alibaba is the perfect site for them, because it may not punish it. I would use competitors.

I recently encountered several issues with my orders on Alibaba.com, and unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing.
Firstly, I had issues with two of my orders (order numbers 204563062501022443 and 204562838501022443), and despite reaching out to customer service for assistance, the resolution process was slow and ineffective. The communication was lacking, and I felt like my concerns were not being adequately addressed.
Additionally, I encountered difficulties with the refund process for a canceled order. Despite canceling the order promptly and not receiving the product, I faced challenges in obtaining a full refund, including the service fee. This lack of transparency and adherence to refund policies was frustrating and unacceptable.
Overall, my experience with Alibaba.com left much to be desired. The customer service was lacking, the resolution process was slow, and the refund policies were not properly implemented. As a result, I am hesitant to continue using Alibaba.com for future purchases and would caution others to be aware of these issues

I purchased an item through alibaba. It should have taken around 1 month to arrive. 2.5 months later and I still have not recieved it. No problem these things happen. I stared a dispute with alibaba and they have been horrendous. They go against their own terms and conditions. They won’t refund you. Instead take days to reply to you. And then tell you to wait a few days. Contact them again and they take a few more days. To tell you to wait again. This process never ends. And they won’t refund you for missing items dispute what their terms and conditions state. Trade assurance is pointless as they don’t honour it. Avoid this shambolic company and go with a different one.
