GuardPro Insurance

Note: This started in March 2019: I contacted Craig Mount in an email and asked him to call me before I sent out this review, letting him know it was not going to be a good one. NOTHING! So, I write this review in deep pain as I really thought GuardPro was an outstanding company, just to find out GuardPro is one of those “Give me the money – no service” Companies. I have been with GuardPro for over 4 years. If you have a Security Guard company, you know how important it is to have an insurance company as a “Partner” and not just a vendor.

After almost 5 years with this company here is what happened – all my statements are supported by emails and some recorded phone conversations: (I will deliver supporting Docs at your request)

Companies involved:
• GuardPro – This was my “Go To” Handled everything
• Venture Pacific Insurance
• Berkshire Hathaway Guard Insurance
• First Insurance Funding
• Allied World Surplus Insurance Company
• Mechanic Group insurance

1. Tracy Mullins was my Agent at GuardPro: My company was doing very well and increased the insurance to comply with my client. When that client dropped, I attempted to lower my insurance rates, but received no communications from GuardPro. After pressing, I was told by Heather Veselko that Tracy told her the insurance company with not cover less than $1,000,000.00 in Liability. When Texas state law is only a fraction of that cost. I changed insurance company and dropped my cost in half.
2. Now I am looking for a refund from the Liability insurance that I canceled early, but the worker's comp cancellation is another story. – I will come back to the liability insurance.
3. Workers Comp was canceled in March, I expected a refund, and was told by Tracy Mullins that the check had been mailed on 05/30/2019. It is now 07/10/2019 and nothing. So, I contacted the insurance company directly (I know you are wondering which one!) This was for the Workers Comp and they told me that they mailed out a “Final Audit” request and had not received it, so I get nothing back unless I send information – which I did. BUT. Tracy Mullins had told me the check was MAILED! What is going on?
4. Now I am running from GuardPro and have canceled the liability portion as well. Because Tracy Mullins LIED to me, I started checking for the liability refund – I called the Insurance Company directly (All of them, to get to the Mechanic Group.)
Here is my review: GuardPro is worthless, do not trust your company’s future with them. They are liars and could care less about your company especially if it is a small company.

Ken,

I do believe a check was processed last week (Note date and Time), you should be receiving this soon. This would have been for the cancellation of the Umbrella policy.
The request was sent to the carrier for the General Liability cancellation. We have to wait for the carrier to process on their side and release funds to the finance company.

Thank you
