I hired Guardian Tax in April 2026 to…

I hired Guardian Tax in April 2026 to help resolve a 2021 IRS liability and paid $1,590 under a written service agreement covering an investigation, an installment agreement, and a penalty-abatement request.
Some work was done. The company prepared a tax account analysis, filed a power of attorney, collected my financial documents, and confirmed with the IRS that a $425 monthly installment agreement was in place. I signed a Form 843 penalty-abatement request in July 2026, and the company closed my case that month.
What remains unresolved: the company says the Form 843 was submitted to the IRS but has not provided the executed form, proof of submission, or its status. It has not provided an itemized accounting of my fees. The collection deadline date it gave me in writing does not match any date in its own worksheet, and the discrepancy has not been explained. A status email I sent on September 23, 2026 went unanswered. The company replied to my detailed letter on October 13, 2026, but my follow-up email sent that same day, asking for management review and a written refund decision, has received no response as of October 23, 2026.
I am seeking a full refund and written answers. I will update this review if the company resolves these issues.
