Guardia is an AI safety platform built for schools, families, and the ed-tech vendors serving them. As AI tools become part of everyday classroom life — tutoring bots, homework helpers, chat-based learning apps — parents and districts need a way to know what's actually happening inside those conversations. Guardia gives them that. Our platform has two parts. GuardRail is a real-time compliance API: it sits between any AI application and the student using it, scanning every message against age-tiered safety policies before a reply is ever generated, and blocking or flagging anything unsafe. TrustEd is the parent-facing side — a dashboard that turns every flagged moment into a full, readable transcript, gives parents visibility into screen time and app usage, and lets them approve or deny data-sharing consent requests directly from their phone. We built Guardia because most schools currently have no visibility into what students say to AI tools, and most parents find out about a problem only after it's already happened. With new state laws around AI and child online safety emerging across the country, districts and ed-tech vendors need infrastructure that makes compliance automatic rather than an afterthought. Guardia is developed under the Campus Consortium Foundation, and we're building it to be genuinely useful to the people who rely on it: parents who want to trust the tools their kids use, and schools that want to prove they're keeping students safe.See more
