Guardhog- a claim re damage from a theft during a guest stay
Marina was really helpful from the outset and highly efficient. At first I was frustrated as I was told the claim was not going to be looked but when I explained the situation thoroughly Marina listened and I felt she took on board what I said. She phoned the very next day after meeting with Humphrey and kept great communication throughout the claim. She has very good customer service, I was impressed.

A more informal and personal approach to insurance and Host Cover offers a solution to cover short lets. Easy to set up and manage. Good value. Always respond quickly and fairly to a query and even reduced my home contents cover premium without my requesting it! When I set up Home Contents insurance I was not very happy that the premium was payable monthly but understand that they are now also offering annual premium/payments. It’s nice to have a name to contact whenever I have a query.

Thus far, I have only high praise for this company and am delighted they are here to “plug an obvious gap”.
I have again signed up to use this company for our period of house-exchange this year.
Our very reputable, well-established insurance company refuse to insure belongings etc during a house-exchange; so it is very comforting to know we can use GuardHog as back-up.
With over 50 house-exchanges to our name and thus far no problems, it is nonetheless important to have that peace of mind when leaving our home.
I have just dealt with Chelsea-Demi by phone and she was exceedingly helpful, patient and charming. Thus far, I have only high praise for this company and am delighted they are here to “plug the gap”.
