Exceeded My Expectations
Like several people I was hesitant to order custom blinds online. Once I unboxed it I watched the video and it seemed pretty easy, it was. It took me about a half an hour to put it together and install. Complete blackness, LOVE IT!
Really happy with the product
Really happy with the product. Room is pitch black which is exactly what I was looking for. Installation took maybe 20 minutes, pretty straightforward if you follow the instructions. Shipping took a bit longer than I expected but they are custom made so that's understandable, and honestly once they were up I forgot all about the wait. Would definitely recommend over regular blackout curtains, the difference isn't even close.
Easy assembly and complete darkness
Easy assembly and once I got the first installed, the second was a breeze. 99% darkness. I'm on nights and sleep until almost noon with almost total darkness. I get more light from the surround of my bedroom door than from the windows. They are an amazing addition to my peaceful sleeps.
Perfect fit and true blackout
The blinds fit perfectly and are truly blackout. They arrived very well packaged and were easy to fit following instructions. We have a very tall window and when the blind was up it slided a bit downwards. But customer service was excellent in advising how to tighten incrementally the fixtures and it was easily sorted. Very happy with result. Will order another one soon!
Solid product, no light getting through
Not going to write a novel here but these are solid. Once you screw the frame in its not going anywhere. I have a pretty wide window and was worried it would bow in the middle but no issues at all. The weatherstripping around the edges blocks everything out. Already ordered a second set for another room.

Finally sleeping during the day
I work night shifts and have struggled with light in my bedroom for years. Tried blackout curtains, tried the suction cup covers, nothing really worked because light always bled through the edges. These blinds seal around the entire window frame and my room is completely dark now. I'd recommend taking your time with the measurements, I followed their guide carefully and everything fit perfectly on the first try. Very impressed with the quality.

Great Black Out Blinds.
This is our second Guard Blind. They do exactly what they say. Total blackout plus noise reduction and stops heat loss. Very easy to fit. The new improved blind is even better than the first.

Do not buy from this company unless you know for sure you won't need any customer service. It's the end of February and I bought blinds over black friday weekend in November...still don't have a full set of working blinds yet. They only have email correspondence and the people who are responding to emails do NOT look at prior emails in the chain and start conversations over from scratch. WHen counting the back and forth's I am sharing with Blind via email, my email chain currently says I am on the 63rd email.
Save yourself the time and energy. I've been renovating a house and this is the single most frustrating point of the entire renovations because of how much time it is taking and how terrible their customer service has been.

Amazing blinds
Amazing blinds! We were skeptical so we only bought blinds for one of our smallest windows. We received and installed the blinds this weekend and AMAZING! Easy, no fuss installation and most importantly zero light streaming in! We waited until dark and you couldn’t see the street light nothing. Looks like a wall with no window! We have 14 more to buy and will be doing so ASAP!! Only wish I’d found them sooner. Thank you!!

Edit: I was able to get a refund for the product. They are very slow to respond though and I think they should have a number to call to help speed up the process. Ultimately, the product does work just make sure you have the correct measurements. It's a hassle to get an exchange.
I do not recommend buying from this company If you do, you better be 110% sure your measurements are correct and pray they send you the correct size. I wish I would've bit the bullet and just went with the more expensive company. Here's my experience, this is a long review:
I was looking for an affordable option for 2 blackout blinds. I paid over $400 for the 2 from Guard. I read so many good things about their product and customer service. They offer a 30 day return policy and thought if they didn't fit they would help me get a replacement. WRONG! Their customer service has been a nightmare. They only have the option to email them, there is no phone number. They always generate an automatic reply that they will respond within 24 to 48 hours. They will respond, but only once per day or two.
So with my order, one blind fit but the other was too tall and there was no way it would fit. I contacted their customer service immediately explaining what happened. To be fair, it was my mistake and I miscalculated the height. While the other blind does fit, it is in no way perfect. After putting the weather stripping and fluffy stuff on, it was extremely tight and barely fits. We also had to add a little extra weather stripping to one side. Now it does work and it does block out all the light, but it doesn't look great and kind of sloppy. We are going to have curtains over it so no big deal.
Anyways, for their customer service, they have been terrible. Yes they always respond and they are very polite and offer assistance, but SLOW. Keep in mind, the return policy is only 30 days. I have been back and forth with emailing them for a week and am no closer to finding a solution. When you ask for an exchange, they ask you to send pics of the width and height and give you somewhat detailed instructions. I misunderstood and took pics of my actual window, thinking they wanted to confirm what the new product would measure. Wrong. They replied a day later letting me know they needed pics of the product frame being measured. The frame was not assembled because it would not fit in my car. I didn't want to mess with it too much since they state they want the returned product in it's original condition. I sent pics of the height and width of the frame when it wasn't assembled. Waited a day and they replied that they needed the frame to be assembled with the measurements shown. They did not specify that before. I took pics of the assembled frame with a tape measure on the width and height just like they wanted. All they needed to do was zoom in to see the exact lines and I provided a zoomed in Pic of one that wasn't clear even after zooming in. Had to wait 3 days to get a reply because of the weekend. Guess what? It still wasn't good enough. They stated it wasn't clear enough and they couldn't tell what the measurements were.
I was very frustrated with them at this point and asked if this was a tactic to not fulfill the 30 day return policy. Were they just going to keep correcting everything I sent them and adding new requirements each time? I still think that's the case. They have not replied and it's been over 24 hours. I even took the frame, drove out to our new house that we are still moving into that is 30 mins away, got the tape measure and a laser measure I ordered recently and took very detailed pics of multiple angles of zoomed in and out measurements with the tape measure and laser measure. Even took pics of my actual window measured with the laser measure and a timed pic of me holding up the frame to my window showing how it doesn't fit. I had to hold it up and set up my phone to take the pic because I was by myself. The frame will not work with the window no matter what I did.
I then proceeded to text label the photos explaining what each of them are so there would be no misunderstanding. I replied again with all the photos. I did not receive the generated response as usual and have not heard back from the company since.
So with all that being said, if you order this product, really make sure your measurements are accurate because they will not help you if they're not. They will put you on trial and basically make you plead your case about why you need an exchange or return. The concept for the product is good, but keep in mind no window is going to be perfectly aligned and this product leaves little room for error or adjustment. I thought I was safe ordering from this company, but I was sorely mistaken. Order at your own risk.

Great product and great service.
I have been very pleased with the entire process and the end result is fantastic. A real premium feel and look with zero light leakage, and super simple assembly. I'd like to commend in particular the customer service. On arrival the vertical was a little tight, I believe due to inconsistencies in the surface of the window opening. The communication from Dennis in customer service was great, regular emails with suggestions which culminating in me removing one of the weather strips, and the provision of a slimmer profile strip for a perfect fit. I will be using this company again.
Very Happy with a Better Sleep
We have been using the blinds for about 2 weeks now and we are really happy with our purchase. As a traveling couple, we sleep odd hours sometimes and the blackout blinds really help. The product was easy to install.
Guard Total Blackout - Excellent
We bought the Guard Total Blackout blind in particular because of the great reviews it has received, particularly on a trusted site like Trustpilot.
It's not the cheapest but it is extremely well made and very easy to fit together and install and it does what it is suppose to do, a total blackout of the room it is fitted in.
The only bit of advice I would give is to take off a 1 or 2 mm of your actual dimensions, we gave perfect size measurements which didn't allow for the weather and brush strips that form part of the install. We did manage to incorporate these but it was a very tight fit.

These blinds were advertised as a total black out of the sun and they are exactly that. I work third and had the windows blocked out. Now I can raise these shades and let sun in while I'm not trying to sleep. I sent in the measurements and they fit like a glove. Very easy to put together and install. Everything needed came with it.
