Working with "Guangzhou Agent" "Asia Agent" or "China Agent" was by far the WORST business decision I have ever ever ever made. I could write a long long book about how this experience was a complete disaster.
Long story short: I am a small entrepreneur, spent years and many resources to develop my invention. I found "Guangzhou Agent" or "China Agent" through a VA I who once worked for me. They seemed great at first, fun to talk to and seemed to know what they are doing. Until I got the first full shipping container of my product. EVERYTHING about the first shipment was a disaster. I had also paid peak Covid shipping prices.
Problems with first shipment:
-ZERO QC was performed.
-Many many many easily preventable QC issues.
-50% of products ordered were of the WRONG plastic and therefore defective.
-They obviously did not show the factory how to properly assemble the product.
-Over 25 cartons (and contents) did not have any packaging/barcodes.
Overall, of my first order of 5,000 units, less than 1,000 were ok for sale. I could talk for hours about how the QC was a nightmare. In some cartons, the QC was so bad that over 50% of products were completely defective, this is in addition to them making 50% of products with the wrong plastic. The owner, Eldad, tried to gaslight me that they did do QC, not realizing that he was insulting himself if this was true as the quality was horrendous. But there were signs that no inspection or QC was done. They either lied about doing QC/inspection, or it was done by a blind man who wasn't allowed to touch the product. Either way, it was so bad that his gaslighting attempts did not work. We had talked for months and months about using only polycarbonate plastic. NEVER a single word about using any other plastic. Imagine my shock, when 50% of my products showed up made with a clearly different plastic. Any person observing the two plastics, could tell there was a difference. Yet they didn't catch it, even though they "inspected" the shipment. Immediately, my packaging and marketing was turned into lies. The assembly flaws were so bad, that you can't convince me the factory they hired was even shown what to do. My product was also relatively simple to assemble. 5 pieces of plastic you snap together.
The Guangzhou Agent's solution was to cut me a deal with the factory to receive a discount for next x# of items ordered. It seemed reasonable and I agreed. However, I later realized this was an awful decision to accept this, as I couldn't sell my first shipment due to QC issues and therefore didn't have the money to buy new inventory. Furthermore- "Guangzhou Agent" lost NOTHING. They refused blame "oh- the factory screwed up!" Yes, but I hired "Guangzhou Agent" to hire & supervise the factory. Why didn't "Guangzhou Agent" catch these monster red flags? They hired a new factory for a client (me) making a brand new product, and don't properly show them what to do or check their work? Pure Insanity! TOTAL NEGLIGENCE. Refusing to take blame. I am a small business owner- this negligence and gross unprofessionalism set me back years and could have easily bankrupted me.
When I finally did make a second order, things were actually much better. But again, Eldad gaslighted me that I was asking too much with my QC demands. Nevermind that I lost almost an entire shipping container earlier due to their lack of QC. And sure enough, this shipment still had many (but much less) QC issues. After all I had gone through, I got several negative permanent reviews due to QC that "Guangzhou Agent" couldn't be bothered to do.
Upon seeing many QC issues on the second order, I made a simple proposal- for "Guangzhou Agent" to have actual accountability- going forward they repay for every defective unit. Eldad's response to this was another gaslight attempt "you don't understand how we operate." I guess a customer paying tons of money, and expecting a quality product is outside of reasonable expectations.
They are NOT frauds or con-artists. BUT they might as well be, given how much I lost with their gross irresponsibility, carelessness and recklessness. The best way to think of them is 15 year olds who try to start a business and immaturely dodge any blame when they make careless & huge mistakes.
