I’ve been waiting since April 2022 for 4 years for $60 in interest. Foreclosure supposedly happened 2 years ago and now it’s a short sale. This company is a joke of epic proportions

This company seems to be a scam now by providing misleading descriptions of the loans. Basically 90% of the loans can not be paid as scheduled, and more than 1/3 or even more loans will be default... See more

At Groundfloor, we believe investing should be open to everyone, not just the wealthy or well-connected. Since 2013, we’ve been helping everyday people put their money to work through short-term, real estate-backed investments that typically deliver around 10% annualized returns. We were the first company qualified by the SEC to offer direct real estate debt investments to both accredited and non-accredited investors. That means whether you are just starting out or have years of experience, you can invest with the same transparency and control. So far, more than 270,000 people have joined us, funding thousands of renovation and construction projects across the country. Along the way, we’ve been honored with awards like the Forbes Fintech 50 and a spot on the Inc. 5000 list six years in a row. Our mission is simple: remove barriers, create opportunity, and help you build wealth on your own terms.

Groundfloor is a nearly ideal investment vehicle for retired people seeking substantial income with very low risk to their nest egg principal, unlike stock or bond investments these days. I routinely earn a 10% return. The diversification achieved by making small investments in many loans reduces risk, and even in the rare event when a loan does default Groundfloor manages the workout or foreclosure process, resulting in a very small loss (if any) on that loan. Net result is the rare combination of high yield and excellent safety, a combination that is critically important to retired folks trying to live on the income from their life savings.
Been using Groundfloor for years and it's a great platform to invest without a wallstreet bank account.
I've been investing on the Groundfloor for many years. It is a very good platform for newbies as well as experienced investors to invest in real estate at an affordable entry point. During COVID we had a lot of defaults but understandably so. The Groundfloor legal team pursued those in defaul to the very end. I feel confident investing even when the borrower doesn't pay back on time because Groundfloor keeps the investor informed to the very end.
Although my experience has been limited to one current go-around of investing in several loans, the platform has been very user-friendly and I look forward to future investing with Groundfloor.
so far working with the company on my account has been fun and exciting.
Excellent! I have had a great experience so far. I have been investing for 2 years and have consistently earned 9% or more. Really cool way to diversify your portfolio. Groundfloor just introduced an app that has dynamic investing, I love the website for a more in-depth view of investment opportunities. 10/10 would recommend.
I’ve been an investor in companies of this type and Groundfloor has by far been the best and most consistent with returns on investment. Additionally, being able to invest in the company is an added plus. I’m planning to become a borrower also and am hopeful that my positive experiences on the investing side continue there.
When I refinanced my home, I took out money for renovations I didn't need yet to capture the low interest rate. That, plus some personal & retirement funds, are invested in over 500 Groundfloor LRO and Stairs. Oh, and Groundfloor Equity, which has more than DOUBLED in 2 years! Compare that to S&P 500 ETF at my traditional brokerage, down 17%+ for the first 8 months of 2022, and pennies at my bank. Yes, I'm happy with Groundfloor!
I love the opportunity to invest in Real Estate at an affordable rate and pace.
It's a great program! Good app. I'm looking forward to continuing and increasing my investment.
Groundfloor is a good investment option. It needs more options with its auto invest feature though. Right now if you choose type C and Type B investments to invest in, it puts both kinds into a pool and then randomly pics the number you can afford. There is no option to prioritize C's over B's for better return or to pick the higher return loans inside the C's. This would make it so people could maximize thier returns. That's what needs to change to get 5 stars. More options to the auto-invest feature.
Too many loans are made to credit questionable contractors run into default on their loans.
I've been on Groundfloor now for almost a year and I just love the platform in every way. The information is clear and concise, their help articles do a really good job explaining what an LRO investment is, and transferring funds was super easy. All this was enough to convince me to throw some money at it to test out. Sure enough... I've consistently earned 10-12% on my investments and I'm allocating more money to it every month. Get after it.
The app didn’t have many features and I couldn’t see all my investments. Todd
