Customer service is an utter joke.

Customer service is an utter joke.

I received a mower without batteries, even though I ordered it with them.

There’s no call service, as others have mentioned too, so I emailed them. A week later, I got a reply with some nonsense about how they usually dispatch batteries separately and that I have to wait up to 12 business days for them to arrive! None of that is mentioned on the website, didn’t give any tracking number, nothing…

So now I have a brush cutter and a mower that are completely useless, a nicely growing knee-high lawn, and lovely brambles all over my garden…

Terrible costumer service don't bother…

Terrible costumer service don't bother ringing the number for returns you will get send to fill out another document. Really really poor stuff. Still waiting for my refund as they have received the unopened product back and I'm still out of pocket.

Ordered direct from Greenworks and received a well used amazon return lawnmower instead.

I placed an order for a Greenworks Lawnmower via the Greenworks tools uk website. It has just arrived.
On opening the box I discover that it is not a brand new lawnmower but an Amazon Return. The box is full of grass cuttings. The lawnmower is well used with grass all over the blade and the grass collection unit. The lead is in a freezer bag with a hand written note saying it is the lead. Unable to speak to anyone at Greenworks via the customer service number so had to email.
I can't believe that I have ordered a brand new lawnmower direct from Greenworks and ended up with an Amazon well used lawnmower.
Appalling that there is no one to contact. I wish I could attach the photographs.

Very poor, products and services.

Bought the Multitool - GD40PSH. I have used it 6 times, hedge trimmer broke and now the power handle has broken and they don't supply parts. UK Customer services could not be less helpful. In the bin after 6 uses! Rubbish please avoid.

Poor performance, reasonable reliability.

* read edit at end - changed review:-
I have been using a Greenworks 3 in 1 strimmer, pole saw, hedge cutter kit for a couple of years.
The design is clunky, heavy and the pole saw is useless. But I use the strimmer weekly without problems.
The battery indicator has never worked. The charger has the helpful instruction on how to remove the battery stuck under the battery (so you can't read it). The strimmer operates for about 20 mins on a 2Ah battery. But I actually think that for the price this is reasonable performance and no reliability issues so far. I obviously only have a small garden but am considering buying more GW products to use the batteries.
*[edit 24/9/24] - changed my mind now 3 star!
Ordered and received the greenworkstools.co.uk 40V garden vac / blower with two 2AH batteries - utterly useless; batteries lasted 2 minutes each - returned to sender.
Handy (who distribute Greenworks Tools in UK) were very good. Had to pay for return (£12) but they offered refund without quibble (suspect this happens often).
Evidently my strimmer (above) is the exception to the fleet with an inverter it can flatten the battery further before expiring (giving it that critical few extra minutes operation) - the batteries aren't interchangeable, and not sure if my model is the same as those currently sold. So cannot now recommend.

Excellent Customer Service

I experienced a broken blade on a 3 year old hedge trimmer. Greenworks replaced the item quickly and with no issues. Excellent Customer Service.

Several 40v battery tools and they all work well

I took a flyer on buying the extendable 40v hedge trimmer with trimmer and mini chain saw. Was impressed and went on to buy a hedge trimmer making use of the same batteries. Most recent purchase was a blower / vacuum again making use of the same 40v battery packs. Have also just bought a 24v pruning saw (like a tiny chain saw) - sorry to see some negative reviews here as I have been continually impressed with the tools, battery performance and interchangeability.

My failed Greenworks 40v pole hedge cutter…

My Greenworks 40v pole hedge cutter failed within the warranty period. I contacted Greenworks to ask about a repair only to be told that it was unrepairable as they don't have any replacement parts for it. I had to get a refund from Amazon (who were excellent) for £121.99 but to buy a replacement will cost £269.99 as it comes with a battery and charger, there is no option to buy only the tool. I do not need any more batteries or chargers as I already own three Greenworks batteries and two chargers. I own several Greenworks 40v tools, 2 chainsaws, 2 strimmers a leaf blower and hedge cutter plus the one that failed and couldn't be repaired, SO MUCH FOR GREEN. When Greenworks first started up they would sell lots of tools only, now everything seems to come with a battery and charger.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Lawnmower seems good although the battery supplied was meant to be a 4ah one and I received a 2ah one. No response from emailing after a week and phone support was useless as they said to email to see where the error in sending out the lawnmower was. I want what I paid for!

where is the customer service

My Greenworks cordless mower has stopped working, having only used it a few times since purchase I have tried to find a local service centre but can't find any. I can't get through to customer service, I've emailed and left messages to no avail. I like Greenworks products but there doesn't appear to be any customer service or service centre info, very disappointed so far

Embarrassingly useless batteries and terrible product design

I don't know how Greenworks CEOs/Directors aren't embarrassed at how poor their products are - do't they have any pride?

Honestly I'm sick to death of my Greenworks lawnmower. I bought it to replace a Bosch Rotak I'd had for 10 years which cut my ~0.5 acre garden in less than 2 battery charges. The Greenworks batteries are so useless that it usually takes SIX battery charges. SIX?! Not only that, if I ever had to recharge a Bosch battery it would reach about 80% capacity within 20 mins... the Greenworks batteries are so useless that most of the time they refuse to recharge after use saying they are too hot!! It's 10 degrees outside with a bitter wind, how can they be too hot?! Even if they do charge, they don't even reach 50% capacity in 20 mins.

Add to this that the side "combs" are sat recessed to the front wheels which makes them pointless/useless and it's impossible to cut grass against edges like walls or paving. Who designs something so useless?

I have contacted Greenworks "customer support" who are basically as useless as their products - incredibly they claim the batteries' life is "excellent" and "as described", that there is "nothing wrong" with my battery life (!!!), and that it's "perfectly normal" for Li-ion batteries to overheat and not be rechargeable for 30 minutes until they cool down... this is complete garbage as anyone who has used a competent alternative product will know. I cannot emphasise it enough, don't skimp on this useless product, save your time and sanity and DO NOT BUY GREENWORKS!!

Greenworks Extendable Hedge…

I have a Greenworks Extendable Hedge Trimmer/Pruner and have been very happy. However I did have a problem with Hedge Trimmer recently and contacted customer services. I have to say that I cannot fault the service Danni has provided. Thank you.
