Need better transparency

I think there should be more discussion around whether someone is able to make monthly debt payments on time or not. I also think that downplaying the importance of on-time payment is misleading. It should be clearer that the accounts must be delinquent for around 3 months and in collections BEFORE a "deal" can be made with the creditor and GreenPath. That should have been pointed out in the initial call BEFORE paperwork is sent to the client. In my case, I am making all my payments on time, so this "deal" with GreenPath wasn't really that helpful. I would have better understood my position if the person I talked to was up front about these facts.

Good 👍🏾

I guess I misread, or I was a little misguided or could be a case of misunderstanding of what the Green Path actually do.
When I found out my bank was advertising the company for a debt management program. I thought it would be a good opportunity to settle the Debt Collection that I’ve been trying to single-handedly deal along.
I thought the Green Path would make a proposition to lower my debt, I thought it help you get a better payout considering that the collection is couple years old.
I’m still waiting for the proposal agreement. My future with this programs is 50/50 if I shall continue using the services of Green Path. Ive might as well just went directly to the source itself and made payment arrangements with them. I wasn’t getting the better offer at the tail in. I shall see where things will land me with this company. So far, the representative’s that I’ve encounter and spoke with since May 8th has been very helpful and advising me through this process ✅

Called with a simple call about how a Discovery Card would be handled in a Debt Management account. The Agent seemed to have no idea what I was talkng about. She had to leave the phone twice and came back with a "Do Not Know" response to my question. I then called ACCC and they immediately understood what I was asking and explained hor the account we be handled out of their Debt Management Program. I had a good impression on my initial contact, but his type of customer service has me looking elsewhere. I do thank the individual who was my initail contact . very easy to talk with, patient and ansered all of questions fully.
