We had an amazing cruise with Greece by Sea around the Cyclades. The landscapes were stunning, the commander and his crew were fantastic, and the food on board was absolutely delicious. Everything was perfectly organized — highly recommended!

My wife and I just disembarked from the Syrolana after a week in the Cyclades.

It was truly an amazing experience.

The crew, headed by Captain Manolis, Maria, and Dimitris (a.k.a. Jim), were amazing.

The food was truly top notch gourmet.

Our destinations were quite spectacular and off the beaten path.

If you’re looking for something special you should book with them immediately! So good!

Before the trip even started I was enamored with Elina’s wonderfully written emails, which gave me confidence that it was going to be a fantastic trip. From start to finish the crew of Kapetan Kosmas made us feel pampered and cared for. Captain Themis exuded confidence and kept us informed of everything we could expect and look forward to. Stefy always had a smile and an infectious exuberance in her job. Pighi cooked meals with expertise and love. The boat was beautiful and made you feel like you were living in a classic piece of art. I could go on and on about this once in a lifetime experience, but just take my word for it and book yours!

All the way through from booking to sailing was simple & straightforward. Elena was so helpful with all the organising and answering my many questions. Pick up at the airport was on time, friendly & comfortable. Then the boat - kapetan kosmas with Captain Themis, Stefy & Pighi, what a team they made our trip extra special. Looked after our every need, gave such good advice on where to eat in port and took us to some amazing spots. Can't praise them highly enough for their professionalism mixed with real friendly fun. Greek waters are safer and more enjoyable with captain Themis on them. His sailing knowledge and overall competence are second to none.

The crew was equally as impressive. They worked tirelessly to maintain the boat, support the captain, and please the guests. The food on board was excellent, it was as beautiful as it was delicious.

We had flight and bag delays, but Themis communicated with me constantly. He worked with us to ensure we made it to the boat as quickly as possible so we could enjoy our time sailing.

The sailboat is beautiful, the Sporades islands are breathtaking, and the time we had on board was remarkable, but I really cannot say enough good things about the entire crew of the Kapetan Kosmas.

This was our third adventure on the Syrolana. We had one in the Ionian Islands and two in the Cyclades. The boat is comfortable, well maintained. The captain, Manolis, is extremely knowledgeable and capable. The crew worked with him seamlessly, and he took our wants into consideration. The food was magnificent and plentiful. It doesn't hurt that the islands are fabulous. Spectacular! The bottom line is that we came back for more and will sail with him again. A great way to visit the islands!

We have just completed our fourth private charter of the Syrolana to tour the smaller Cyclades.

Captain Manolis, our chef Nico, and first mate America were exceptional as always. Knowledgeable, accommodating and endlessly patient for us.

We have already reserved the Syrolana again for next year, and look forward to seeing our friends (the Crew) again.

We sailed aboard the Syrolana during the last week of May 2024 around the Cyclades. Captain Manolis, America and Nico ensured we had an excellent time on board, with top-notch hospitality, high-quality food and an itinerary that considered the authentic sides of the islands. We are already planning to sail again with Greece by Sea. Thank you!

We had a PERFECT experience with this captain and crew. They were as awesome as can be. More comments later after our vacation is over.

We are just leaving gulet Anatolie. We have spent a marvelous week with Ilias’ crew. The three of them are full of energy and skills. Carla is a young marvellous cook as well as a sailor. Ilias the captain and Joris are excellent sailors too. We had a great time sailing with a very strong wind in the Cyclades. It was a little bit of an adventure. The Anatolie is a comfortable gulet. The islands, small ports and villages were charming. Greece you expect to see.

What a trip! Our first cruise on a sailboat, and our first visit to Greece! Capt Manolis was thoroughly professional and competent, aided by Ami and Nikos, his able crew. We 10 passengers, from 5 different countries with multiple languages, had such a wonderful and interesting time! The food was exceptional (thanks, Nikos!), the weather was gorgeous and the towns we visited were so charming. We always felt well-cared for by the crew and had complete confidence in the captain. I'm not a swimmer and was a little apprehensive about being on deck at first, but that quickly dissipated, I got my sea legs, and I always felt safe and knew that the crew was watching out for all of us. We had ample time for swimming, sightseeing in town, and sampling local delicacies. The captain briefed us before every journey about the route, the ports, and local village information. It was a superb introduction to the Cyclades, and we are already thinking about the next trip!

What a wonderful experience! Crew Ami, Nikos and captain Manolis very professional and experienced, food was delicious with lovely greek specialties. We saw and visited wonderful islands and had good wind for some sailing and we where in great company from all over the world - lots of laughter and joy 👍

The water and sails and sea spray... as well as stops in islands and Grecian landscapes.
History and knowledge in late evening and into early morning chats. Yes there was songs, camaraderie, and very deep exchanges...
A treasured experience and mostly friendship.
Soon to be relived again.

I was on the Syrolana. It was completely lovely. We saw Delos and many other sites, including so many others. There was also great food aboard!

I value family run businesses, and with this company you really feel the soul! Traveling Greece by sea is really the way to go...from their exquisitely crafted vessels, knowledgable captains and crew, impeccable food service and outstanding locations. It's a dream vacation where you can really relax and restore yourself. To this date, it's been my husband and I's favorite vacation together.

I even referred my dad to take a trip with Greece by Sea, and he ended up proposing to his girlfriend on their trip!! :)

We have cruised with Greecebysea two times : Sporades Islands onboard Kapetan Kosmas, and Ionnian Islands onbooard Syrolana. Everytime we have enjoyed our trips : very sympathetic crew and very professional, remote and quite moorings, comfortable and secure boats, excellent food and cookers. I made 3 cruises on different boats of the company with Captain Alex and the last with Thémis to discover the Sporades Islands (twice, I never tire of it :-)) and the Cyclades Islands. The boat was a discovery for me but the calm waters of the Sporades reassured me. On each trip, I was able to appreciate the comfort of the boat, the professionalism of the crew and the beauty of the landscape and of Greece thanks to the judicious choice of stopovers. Life on the boat is easy because the tourists who make this choice of vacation are generally good company and everyone is free on stopovers to stay with the group or alone. I recommend without hesitation because it is truly a very good service and I give 5 stars for the quality of this service in its entirety (reception, catering, on-board services, snorkeling activities, etc.).

We have sailed with this company twice and have just booked our 3 tour this summer. We can not recommend Alex and his family & crew enough. If you want to give your family a big treat, - book a family cruise.
