On time would be nice
We had a v quiet, minimal luggage, early morning British Airways flight in to Gatwick, and kept Great Britain Cars fully informed. The booking process was straight forward and asked for all the necessary data (other than whether baggage was checked/hold).
The driver apologised for running late and was polite and got us and our luggage home just fine but we would have appreciated not waiting the 30mins at that time in the morning, or at least the text we received on landing to confirm that the driver would not be pulling up outside in the Droff Off Zone until 1.35am/ wouldn't get to the Arrivals Hall until 1.45am for a 1.15am pick up. Thankfully, it wasn't cold out.
We were early on our arranged time as we'd already allocated time after landing and got through fast. As we were near the front of the plane, are British citizens, and had no checked baggage, we were in the Arrivals hall within 10mins of disembarking (standard service), which was in minutes of landing and we were in the Drop Off Zone as then requested a couple of mins after that. The airport was empty at that time in the morning so there are no queues or delays. I know cabs need to schedule between customers, and airport travel can be chaotic and flights and passengers can run late on plans when it is peak time or there are disruptions, but we had different conditions and we weren't. We were 10mins early on the arranged time; for a journey calculated at 90mins that is reliably 60 in the early hours due to empty roads.
Great Britain Cars would benefit customer service by considering: is the flight landing at a v busy or v quiet time; is it an airline like BA that keeps to schedule, communicates with its customers, and lands at the main gates close to the terminal; how much checked baggage; are clients being picked up in the Arrivals Hall, Pick Up Zone, or slightly more expensive Drop Off Zone? Have they been communicated with? Had I known the driver was scheduled/ running an extra half hour later, i.e. almost an hour after our arrival, I'd have got my sons and I a hot chocolate in the terminal.
Picking us up for 1.15am would have been great service. But regardless, thanks for getting us home.

Shocking!
Return airport taxi showed up for 4 passengers and not the 6 booked. Leaving 2 of us stranded at 1am, the taxi that did show up was also not road worthy and was missing the booster seat required. Horrible ending to our holiday.

Brilliant service for taxi to airport
Great service from start to finish when ordering an early morning taxi to Stansted airport. The booking process online was easy and quick and they responded quickly to confirm. They confirmed the driver details in advance and he also made contact so I was assured throughout the process. Happy to recommend and will use again.
