Great level 3 GH course!
Just finished a very fast paced level 3 grasshopper course with PH. Excellent course and instruction. Wish we had one more day to get through all the material. Course covered all the topics I wanted to touch on in GH from working with meshes, to genetic algorithms, to machine learning.
Two suggestions for improving the course: record the demos and make them available to students. PH goes real fast - there's no way to realistically follow along so you better have good GH shorthand!
The demo code is provided, which is fantastic, but it lacks comments - even something basic like titles for the code blocks and expected input geometries would go a long way to making it more decipherable the next day.

PH delivered a great course and presented the Kangaroo workflow through a collection of custom mind bending scripts and exercises.
Kangaroo Course - Perfect
Just finished 'Kangaroo Physics' Course by P.H. Chen. Excellent course. PH Chen and Verena Vogler presented and organized the class flawlessly. P.H. did an excellent job of concentrating on first principles before advancing to the more technically challenging content. Although there was a massive amount of new content, I never felt left behind or lost. His english as a second language is highly articulate and technically astute. Often foriegn english teachers struggle. P.H. does NOT struggle at all. His english diction style is direct, information dense, technically proficient, and thoughtful. The content of this course seems highly relevant to real world practice from a form-finding designer perspective primarily. The title of the course could have been better selected since the reference to "Physics" left some of the more "Formal Physics" focused students hoping for more real world physics connection. However, from a designer perspective the content and form-finding methodologies discussed were delicious. Well done P. H. , beautiful course, I really learned a lot. - Stan Carroll, Oklahoma USA.
Adaptable bespoke training
Hello I'm Vincent architect-designer,
Ping-Shiang paid a great attention to my needs and managed to tailor a bespoke training that suited me perfectly. He was adaptable, trying the best he could to answer my questions and my agenda. Thank you !
Perfectly suited to my need
Perfectly suited to my need. Excellent teaching!!

Grasshopper Level 2 Training course for Dar Group:
the Course was an intense, compressed guided track that helped cover lots of lacking information and boost my knowledge forward. the teaching techniques were on par, looking forward to more courses in the future.
Ping-Hsiang Chen - Data Tree Manipulation
Nick is a very patient tutor that can explain from the simple to the extremely complex with ease, can break up problems into digestible bundles and can infer into what doubts you might have or interest paths you are going for. The personalized course on data tree manipulation, being such a dense subject, was interesting and accessible all the way through and a very useful skill set to optimize as complexity increases when using Grasshopper further through the design process. Very recommendable indeed
Grasshopper C# review
Very helpful course for people who wants to enhance their computational skills in the Rhino & Grasshopper. This content is divided into 4 parts (from fundamental C# programming to the intermediate level). And this is the thing I am looking for:)
This process of the course is easy to follow, there are lots of examples demonstrating the essential idea of how we can apply the code for a specific task.
On the first day, PH introduces the difference between visual programming and C#, as well as the implementation of C# code in various territories, followed by the basic C# languages(instance, variable, loop...etc).
The second day is more related to geometrical exploration, and how we can easily achieve complex modeling by C#. On the third day, we jumped into the different GH documentation and other extensions from the .NET framework. Lastly, he shows how we can automate the Windows functions in grasshopper such as creating your own windows.
On the fourth day, we started to learn how to make our customised GH component and I managed to make my own one. What a milestone!
For those people who want to boost their computation skills, I highly recommended this!
Grasshopper C# course
Amazing instructor! The contents of the class is very fruitful and designed specifically for designers who wish to upskill the use of Grasshopper from visual programming to C#. This is exactly what I need as an architect!
It’s very easy to follow as there are a lot of practical examples given how we can benefit in a specific context with the extended capability of programming. Ping-Hsiang started the course with an introduction of basic programming on the 1st day, then 2nd day is about geometry exploration and form finding which he showed how certain geometries can only be created through programming processes, then the third day we moved away from geometries, looking into Grasshopper document and extend the functionality of Grasshopper using Windows functions. This part is the coolest I think as he explains how we can ultilize programming to control the data flow of a complex scripts and automate tasks. The forth day then is a summary of the past three days and package everything we learnt into a GH components that we can distribute. In the end of the course, I manage to develop my own GH plug-in as a C# beginner. I wish that there will be a C# level 2 course that can expand each topic further! Highly recommended course!
wonderful in-depth course into…
wonderful in-depth course into Grasshopper (Level 2)
Terrific in-depth class into GH with emphasis on understanding data structure data flow and also motivated by really very cool architectural applications and designs. Very patient lecturer with a lot of knowledge and in-depth understanding. It's not simply recipe like, the goal is to make you conversant with the software enough to debug your own work and do your own thing. The prof was super accessible after the class and stayed and answered a lot of questions.
If you really want to learn how to use the power of Rhino, use Grasshopper, and learn from PH. I would definitely take any other course he might teach.
Informative Grasshopper Workshop
This was my first grasshopper workshop from McNeel Europe.
It covered topics like data structure, Mesh, sub D and Kangaroo.
It was a very helpful workshop, it covered many topics that I was curious overtimes.
The instructor, Ping-Hsiang, explained a complicated concepts in an easy manner while demonstrating the script.
He was able to tell us why he does certain things to get the right result.
I appreciate the fact that he was encouraging attendees to ask questions to him and try to implement their questions in the next class.
And he was good at clarifying questions and provided the right answers in general.
In terms of the organization of the course, probably due to the limited schedule, some topics were lightly touched on.
I wish there was more time to exercise different ways of doing data matching with complex patterns and forms.
Maybe 3 days workshop with one specific topic is a better workshop structure to explore medium to high-level examples.
Some people brought their own projects or something they want to know how to make, it could only be answered in a broad concept due to the time constraint.
I think many people who attended the course, knew what they want to make and also could start their own script but troubleshooting at a certain point.
I hope in the future, there's some time to develop the attendee's script as well.
Overall it was a very useful and thorough workshop, thank you!

Very Extensive
Great Course - very in-depth and wide ranging
Fast paced with a lot of information that pushes the boundaries of computational modelling within architecture but still framed within a practical understanding of how the work might be made. All this within a grasshopper environment - Lots of scripts stepped through and then supplementary variations of those scripts provided for further development.
Awesome

Fantastic workshop
Fantastic workshop. PH is clearly an expert in his field and he is a thorough teacher. This was an advanced class, and we discussed many topics that are often avoided due to complexity. Highly recommend.

From a beginner with no knowledge, to an intermediate level
During this amazing course, I learnt a lot about the logic and the concept of the course. Starting as a beginner, just by attending these 3 days, now I'm able to create scripts and find some solutions in my workflow as a landscape architect.
Grasshopper Level 2 Course
I recently participated in the online Grasshopper Level 2 course and the experience was amazing. PH shows very interesting examples and it is very easy to follow him during the design process regardless of your level. He also knows and explains very clearly the theory behind the geometry designed with NURBS, meshes or SubD.
I highly recommend his courses, for beginners or advanced Rhino and Grasshopper users.
A valuable learning experience!
A great bundle of courses that enabled me to hone my computational skillset and helped develop my design thinking to align with the software. Ping-Hsiang didn’t only go through the course syllabus, but also helped me design systematically utilising Grasshopper as part of the dialogue and the experimental processes.
What made the courses unique is his ability to deliver the information to any level, no matter if the students were beginners or experienced users, Ping-Hsiang was able to address inquiries, and discuss problem solutions with different professional backgrounds and at various levels of complexity. I can’t recommend it enough.

I participated in the courses Grasshopper level 1 and 2 and I was very surprised to see how many things you can do with this software! Ping Hsiang is very patient and it’s impossible to don’t follow as he explains in the meantime that shows examples and allow time to try by ourselves: this helped me a lot to learn GH.
I can’t wait to partecipate also in the courses Phyton/Grasshopper and c#!
Excellent course for experience Grasshopper users wishing to take their skills to the next level
I participated in a three 3 day Level 2 Grasshopper course for intermediate grasshopper users that wish to take their skills to the next level. As a regular professional Grasshopper user that would rather generate a script in a few hours than do a explicit modelling, I found the course excellent. There was a strong emphasis on working data trees and manipulating them, and working with meshes. I already had familiarity with some of the topics covered, however some of the tips that I learned from participating have significantly improved my experience in creating scripts. Ping-Hsiang is an excellent and patient teacher that takes great effort to answer highly specific questions to help students learn more and understand the topics covered comprehensively.
