Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 42 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers found the product to be an unhelpful and often useless tool for its intended purpose. Reviewers consistently reported that the artificial intelligence detection was highly inaccurate. This inaccuracy frequently led to human-written content being incorrectly flagged as AI-generated. People expressed frustration with the tool marking eloquent sentences, formal writing, or even quotes as AI. Several customers noted that texts written years before AI chatbots existed were also incorrectly identified as AI. This led to a frustrating user experience, with some feeling forced to distort their writing or wasting time trying to understand the flags. I have been using GPTZero for about 6…

I have been using GPTZero for about 6 months now, it's my first pick out there for an AI Detector. I find it more reliable than other detectors present out there. It's been quite consistent even when compared to the likes of Turnitin.

Great idea, be careful of false positives!

Great idea, not so great execution. Teachers!! Do not use this to fail kids!

I wrote an entire paper from scratch (before the invention of AI) and it comes back as 99% completely AI.

False positives cannot happen, and will screw innocent (typically intelligent) kids over.

Easy to use with great results

I found using this program very user friendly, it was simply to upload files from my computer directly that I needed to check. The results were quick, and it produced a great report which provided a clear determination as to what percentage the file is likely to be generated by AI or "human".

GPTZero makes working with writers so…

GPTZero makes working with writers so much easier, as it helps to show who is actually writing their own content compared to who is just using AI. While it’s not correct 100% of the time, it’s a massive timesaver for me.

Easily Bypassable

I honestly thought that this website would be a good AI detector, but now that I've used it as a student, I know that nobody is using this as just removing a few complex words from a GPT article made it 98% human, this is not reliable

Not reliable AT ALL

I am a teacher and I was hoping this tool actually works. Unfortunately, It's not reliable at all. I tested it using a paper I wrote more than four years ago for grad school, and it came up as 100% AI-generated.

Excellent and accurate AI detector

Excellent and accurate AI detector. It's tough to "trick it" by revising AI-based text, but text written from scratch is very rarely detected as AI.

Despite what other reviews here have said, I've found it's more likely to give false negatives than false positives.

I mean

I mean, its meant to be an AI that spots AI's. It does ok but this shouldnt be out in the wild. its SO easy to write a couple of lines that convince it its wrong. Use a few wrong keywords and you're screwed though. This is FAR less advanced than the AI's of today which will mean its always behind the curve.

This is a tool with good intentions that will only cause issues to innocent people because its a desperate grab at an easy solution, and a very unreliable one.

If you think you're giving a job to a bot, then interview them. This sort of tech is just going to wrongly screw people over and stop companies from finding decent workers.

Right now, its harmful because it doesnt work like they want. It will have it uses one day but right now is not a good t ool for practical uses.

Scam

AI checkers are still a scam. I've tried multiple times and there seems to be no pattern whatsoever. Why do people even use these checkers. As a content writer, I use these tools just so the client doesn't complain only to later find out that the tool I used wasn't what the client used so now I have to rewrite it all over again till it randomly stops detecting AI.

There are too many false-positives and this is not good.

The application marked my journal as 98% human-written and 2% AI-generated. This program examines words and grammar and, based on this, believes that artificial intelligence has created them. For the second test, I imported another text that Trinka paraphrased for technical and academic writing to improve clarity, and the program scored it at 67% as AI-generated. There are too many false-positives. Avoid using or relying on it. You will save yourself stress and trouble.

This should not be relied on

This isn't reliable and shouldn't be used in schools or other academic institutions. It often mistakes real student work for AI which is really stressful for them. Sadly, some schools are rejecting work based solely on this site's results.

I love how they get everything wrong

They are one of the more reliable detectors, but complete rubbish still. They are not reliable at all, and yet they claim to be "100% sure" that something is chatgpt I love getting punished by teachers for having this money-sucking company flag my own non-chatgpt work

Worst Piece Of Rubbish Ever

This is the worst piece of software I have ever come across. This is coming from a Lead Software Developer with a degree in Computer Science working as a programmer for over 25 years. I have been helping a foreign student apply for a University placement in Australia and their advisor ran their application through this piece of software (if you can this software). There were whole paragraphs about their family and personal stories that were coming up as 100% AI written. They asked me to help. Literally I could think of my own sentences, type them in and it would say that they were AI generated. Got news for you. I am a person!!!!!!! Not an AI machine. There are only a limited number of sentences and phrases out there when you are talking about what city a University is in. When I have to spend hours - LITERALLY - having to come up with different variations of what I want to say and you keep saying I am an AI machine then your whole code base and premise is flawed. If I could ban your software I would. That is how bad it is. Hang your heads in shame.
