I Took my pregnant french bulldog to…

I Took my pregnant french bulldog to the surgery at govet she was really ill because she was pregnant and a young dog she had a scan. The vet examined her and missed vital signs of liver and kidney failier .I was told to come back the following day .We took her back and paid for blood tests and an anti sickness injection. The vet then said she would have to remain at the surgery for three nights costing £1000 per night.I lost all confidence with this surgery at this point and I contacted the RSPCA .The RSPCA ask me to bring the dog to them so they can examine her.The vet at the RSPCA could not understand why the dog was not diagnosed properly when time is critical. The only option was to have her put to sleep.I felt I had to share this with other animal lovers .Govet is a money making scam who don't care about animal wellfare and have no compassion what so ever.

Go vets look after Brandy and Connor

Go vets look after Brandy and Connor, our little babies! Nothing but praise from receptionist to the vet. Both just had to have teeth sorted but were looked after well.
Thank you to you all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🐶🐶

I can’t thank all the team at Go Vets…

I can’t thank all the team at Go Vets enough for the amazing care they gave my three-year-old dog during her spay procedure. From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I felt completely at ease.

My dog was treated with such kindness, and the follow-up care has been excellent — she’s recovering really well. It’s clear how much all the team truly care about the animals they look after. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and highly recommend them to any pet owner.
Thank You Again

I've visited GoVets in Manchester twice with my young cat, and each visit has been an absolute delight. The staff is wonderfully kind and knowledgeable, providing great comfort. Stella and I would give them a solid 5-star rating!

Will charge you 4 times more for fleas tablets for cats than online.

Will charge you 4 times for tick tablets for cats. In any online shop cost £30 for 6 Credelio tablets but here they charge £20 for ONE tablet. If you ask for prescription they sill still charge 20 per cat pet tablet as well. Extortionate practice but they stand by it as after I contacted them after I checked the prices online they couldn't care less. 2 stars as the rest of experience there is good but be prepared to pay 4x over for tablets compared to online. Edit: ONLY after the reviews went online they quickly reacted and provided some sort of resolution. Like I said experience is ok, this is a good place to take care of your pets but of course, be prepared to pay. And everytime they recommend you tablets just ask for prescription, buy online in advance and save yourself a fortune. honestly would have not put up this review but after we bought the two tablets for 40quid I asked for prescription to buy more Credelio flea tablets and they insisted on charging me another 40quid.

Guinea pigs & the amazing staff

Owning guinea pigs I have used go-vets a couple of years now, to treat a few of my 7 girls with piggie related issues, Today was for my youngest 7-8 month old girl needing an operation to remove abscesses due to underlying bacteria causing this secondary outcome. We did try with meds first gave her a good chance of healing them but it became clear she needed them removing surgically, Ibraham is the vet who’s been seeing Gong throughout the whole process & he also listens to me as her owner & what I feel is right or if I ask for something added if he believes it will help her too then he does accept my input. The reason I ever joined miles platting go-vets is because I’d had a previous original piggie as she was my free animal at PDSA MCR being low income etc. They did her teeth as that was the issue but she went downhill & the only thing that they would do is put her to sleep I did agree as she really was not doing well it was the kindest thing for her. But they didn’t let me in the room till after it was done and they treated her as if to say
“It’s not a dog/cat” and didn’t even give me time I wanted just rushed me to choose her ashes box etc as I have my passed piggies at home where they belong. In the last couple of years I have had flute, bugle. Trombone all put to sleep at Go-Vets & they are absolute diamonds, they explained the procedure fully & gave me that choice & I obviously chose to hold them till the very end as I know they didn’t pass with a stranger to them & being scared etc. whereas I get to hold and reassure them and they go very very peacefully. My girls are my whole world and more & Go vets treat them like they would any other regular pets with small furries not really seen a lot. And I explained my own life situation with my disability & low income & if anyone is ever scared to tell your vet at go-vets through embarrassment or fear of being judged for having pets and low incomes, Don’t be! These vets do this job because pets of all kinds are there passion to treat and get them better & if it’s their rainbow bridge time they give you empathy, compassion, time, and let you have the choice of being with your family pet till the end as many pet owners do want to be. Thank you to all of the staff right from the receptionists, nurses, vets. You really are angels

ZERO STARS

ZERO STARS. WORST VETS! In 30+ years of using different vets across the country, I’ve never CONSISTENTLY been so appalled. They do not care about my animal’s wellbeing, and only seem concerned for money and bred dogs. I’ve been left for 5+ hours in the surgery waiting for what would be a “30 minute procedure”. They’ve lost urine tests I’ve brought in - and failed to inform me - leaving my cat undiagnosed, ill and untreated for months. Misinformed me on multiple occasions causing unnecessary stress for my cat and myself. At least 3 trips I’ve made there have either been on misinformation or a complete waste of time. Now left with a 17 year old, ill, unvaccinated (!) cat because of them, and spent £’000s for the privilege. Front of house staff are degrading and completely uneducated. DISGUSTING - UNLESS YOU HAVE AN UNETHICALLY BRED BULLDOG, AVOID!!!

Would be zero stars.

Would be zero stars.. front office are hopeless money grabbers… we have a plan and every time they ask how you want to pay as they only seem to care about the money. Won’t get into how badly they sold the plan. Sausage factory churning out as many appointments as possible and overall they have been utterly useless.. shame about the front office as the Vet we did get was actually quite pleasant, we had 3months worth of medicine for our cat and the woman on front desk said should bring her in to be weighed which would of cost us circa £50!!!! No reason other than to grab your cash, avoid avoid avoid.

False information con

Went for simple microchip for a cat and was there 50 minutes i was told the cost is £15 but its false information as to register the cat its another £10 which i was told after the vet injected the chip he informed me it is also £10 to register the cat so be aware its cheaper elsewhere avoid using them also i have just gone to register the cat and its £19.95 to register the cat so this vet is useless they do not know or care about customers or they would inform you upfront in this day and age of people struggling, it is so annoying that its now cost me more than double the price they told me, i definatlely will not be using this vet again you can get cats microchipped a lot cheaper elsewhere
