What a scam,you think your on the GOV site for car tax but Google send you to GOVvehicle site 50p then 7.85 a month that you didn't know about.i rang the company up but they said they had no details of my email address,lying scumbags,I think it's a Chinese scam.When I rang the number it actually came up suspected scam.Santander bank were so helpful,stopped payment and also knew about the scam.So be aware when searching anything that some scammers are on top of the Web page.

As for others leaving a comment… I was unaware that this fraudulent company was taking £7.85 monthly from my credit card account. A total scam and I don’t even know how they obtained my details. I hope I’ll get a refund from my bank once I’m able to raise the issue with them. Appalling broad daylight fraud! Their name Govehicle is such so as to appear like “Gov” in the government websites. Internet user beware of these scammers!

why is this company debiting £7.85 a month from my account for nothing

This is straightforward fraud, nothing else and I do not understand why DVLA has not had it supressed by the Police.

Avoid avoid avoid! Govehicle got hold of my card details fraudulently, not because I entered them on a site pretending to be DVLA. Credit to New Day (aka Royal Bank of Scotland) for their very quick anti-fraud action.

Signed up to receive a 50p text reminder about taxing my bike. Then took £7.85 a month off me for a few months before I realised. Absolutely bar stards

Like so many others, I fell into the trap of using this bogus company believing that I was re-taxing my car.
I only found out when I received a Penalty from DVLA for not renewing my tax.
I would normally do this once I received the renewal reminder, but I didn't receive one this year, so I over ran the expiry date.
I received a Penalty from DVLA this morning for none payment and when I contacted them to say I paid it they explained that I hadn't which prompted me to check my Card Statement and it became clear that IO had not paid the tax but there was a deduction of 0,50p from Govehicle.
I contacted my card company and they have put a block on them but I also requested the card be cancelled to prevent any further payments.
Needless to say feel rather stupid at not spotting this scam company, so beware...

Thought I was on the GOV.UK website for taxing your vehicle. Apparently not although seemed authentic. only when l noticed the payments charged 50p 7.85p, did l get suspicious as my car is electric £0 to tax. On checking to see if my car was taxed, finding its not, and GOV.UK knowing nothing about PYD* govehicle.uk payments. So next step report these Fraudulent payments to my bank, SORTED

I agree with all the reviews - a completely disgraceful company which Action Fraud should do something about. Unscrupulous and totally dishonest.

I cannot believe I fell for this scam. Fortunately, I found out in the first month, because there is no way of knowing that your car is untaxed, presumably until you get pulled over by the Police.
How people run this sort of scam and still sleep at night, I'll never know.

This website should be shut down for deception and fraud as they are posing like a Gov site and then taking money every month out of your account without any further communication or authorisation
but nothing is done about these fraudulent companies

A complete scam pretending to be Govt car tax official site

It may be legal, but it is totally immoral bordering on being dishonest. Conning people to part with money when they think they are on a government website to tax their car. Nothing more than scumbags.

Yup, this 'govehicle' is a very convincing scam. Looks exactly like the gov website. Currently cancelling my card as they have all my details and home address....

Popped up first when looking for Gov.uk to tax my vehicle. I accidentally clicked on it and was taken through a fake process to pay for vehicle tax. They even said they'd checked my MOT.
When it got to payment my bank refused it, but this scam comany told me to use another card.

I had the exact same experience with GoVehicle as other people on here. They first took 50p from my account, then £7.85. They purport to be a site for vehicle taxing but they are a scam. I reported it to my bank (TSB), who agreed. They urged me to report it to Action Fraud but the process is complicated and I haven't succeeded yet!

As lots of Others , I went onto a site marked as a .Gov site to check MOT on a Car Thought i was paying the Road TAX ! Happy Days But they have Taken .50p and next day taken £7.58 Ime informed this would be an ongoing Charge , Not found a way of contacting these People ... But if i do find them !
Ive had to Cancel the card with Visa as it can NOT be canceled , Loads of Hassel . for nothing . Nic Brown.

Scam Company - avoid. Pretends to be DVLA, you think you’ve paid your tax but you haven’t. They then have your card details and after a 50p test run they start to take £7.85 a month from you. Small amount (but stolen from a lot of people) nets them a huge amount. Don’t know why DVLA hasn’t stopped them. Plus, as you haven’t paid your tax you will hat a fine! Shocking
