Absolute scam, AI call centre, farmed out to some doofus that knew less about my legal case than the google AI search did. Took months and months with no progress, only bills.

I left to another firm and they resolved the case in 7 business days with no hassle.

These guys just bill you and delay and hope you'll stay paying them forever fearing starting over with a real law firm.

Three missed appointments by the lawyer assigned to my matter. Go To Court were quick to take my money however have not given me a refund. I was dubious about being appointed a lawyer based in Victoria when my QCAT matter was in Queensland. I was assured by Kate they were experienced in Qld law. The lawyer missed 2 appointments on 12/2/2026. The lawyer rang me late in the afternoon to reschedule to 2pm Qld time 13/2/2026. They did not attend the teams meeting on 13/2/2026 and no call. I sent the lawyer a text. True to form no response. Could not get through to the 1800 number either. There’s been no communication from the lawyer or from Go To Court. No apology. They have until tomorrow 20/2/2026 to refund my money. If not refunded I will be proceeding with submitting formal complaints with the relevant authorities.

This is a big scam they will take your money quickly and leave you without any legal representation.
Someone report them to ASIC..

Failed to answer correspondence from opposing lawyer or show me correspondence which has now been filed in affidavit.
Failed to file court documents.
Refuse to return to court for parenting Agreement breaches making it harder and more expensive) to pursue now.
Do not answer emails, messages or return phone calls.
When it turns to rubbish you are abandoned.
Always more worried about payment even when every account fully paid.
Left preparation of court appearance to the day before. Poorly prepared.
Just going through the motions without real effort.

With lame excuse about her health so sorry I’m in hospital was one of them.
Question
If in hospital how could anyone be focused on there job.
She totally disregard any respect about my doctors report.
All they want is $$$$$$ with no respect in how they get it. Shonky.

Update 24/3/25 got contacted by gtc to review my case. With no time respect taken simply advised with no now to taking case on.
Has anyone else had there case reviewed by this shonky mob. And got looked after a good result or just more headaches and waist time In acting like they covering there arss buy asking for case number and names of soldiers.
If only they did a little bit of research in my case 20min
They find out I have a very very very 99% win chance.

To those people that got treated with respect and care from gtc legal well done .
In short my case involves noise pollution coming from freight depot working with out DA approval from council.
Have lost been removed from my own place 7 dogs to toxic noise pollution
Scared spooky them.

I recently had a consultation with Sam Angelatos, referred through the GTC legal hotline, and my experience was very disappointing.

The call started late, and when it began, Mr. Angelatos made an unprofessional remark about my name, which was inappropriate and set a negative tone for the conversation.

The advice given was something I had already tried, and he offered little insight or assistance regarding my lease. He also mentioned that office leases typically don’t have errors, which didn’t help address the specific issues I was facing.

Despite the consultation lasting only 19 minutes, I was charged $295 for what felt like no useful advice. I requested a refund due to the lack of value provided, but no resolution has been offered.

Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this service as it failed to deliver what was promised and provided no meaningful help or follow-up after my request for a refund.

Do not get involved with this law company.. the said to me that my case was going to be at least $3300 including a $295 fee I paid , I was very disappointed and thought this was very disappointing and fraudulent.
I rang a another barrister who went straight to court charged $1899 and had my matter resolved and charges all sorted, where these clowns tried to prolong and grab more money./

I have used them for 5 years now. I was a total idiot to stay with them. They are incapable or actually getting to court and just suck up your money and do SFA. Do not waste your time with these clowns.

Legal hotline is nothing more than an expensive booking service. $295 up front before even getting to speak to a lawyer, let alone knowing if they can help you. I was desperate and the matter urgent so I paid and booked with what I was told was an experienced lawyer in that field and that had her entire afternoon schedule free to assist me for the interim orders required. However the lawyer I agreed to book with suddenly because unavailable and I was transferred to someone else. Between the language barrier and lack of knowledge (theirs not mine), I eventually worked out that my lawyer not only didn’t have a clue but was also plain lazy. So I’m a single parent on the disability pension that’s now $295 out of pocket with a child that’s in danger.

They state on their website that the number is a "National Legal Hotline" but when I called up I was firstly asked if I already had a lawyer, then asked if I have a legal issue. I don't on either count as I'm just looking for information on a section of Australian law for an article in a novel I'm writing, hence me calling a hotline instead of hiring a lawyer. It feels misleading to call that phone line anything but a client intake line -- I certainly feel misled.

I cannot believe how rudely I was spoken to just now! Their website claims that their Go To Court Legal Helpline is there "to provide general advice over the phone, assess their legal issues, and if need be, we go ahead and make an appointment". THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE!!

IMMEDIATELY, I was told that if I wanted to talk to anyone about anything that I would need to pay $295 for a consult FIRST - how do I even know if their lawyers are suitable to my requirements first?

This is because I had called them from this number years and years ago regarding a completely different matter. I made it clear that I was calling on behalf of a friend this time too - no difference.

As if I am going to make an appointment for my friend without knowing if they can even help with her specific matter!?! Initially my friend really needs general advice and assessment, as the hotline claims to provide. My friend is willing to pay, but no way am I going to recommend this service! The woman's rude and curt manner has put me in a really bad mood.

I am glad I called instead of my friend, though, as with her current fragile mental state, she may have been driven over the edge.

Looking back through my notes, they were useless last time too. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Don’t be conned by this company total rip-off twice I got charged for them to appear in court only to find out because of Covid no face to face allowed so got charged $1500 for them to send a email and next time to talk on phone

I wished I came across these reviews before I paid them. Paid $295 and got allocated to a guy called Tanguy..omg..he was not interested in listening to what you have to say. Spent 20 mins listening to general statements but the most annoying part is his communication skills. I would rate 0 if I can. He does not hesitate in talking down to you, no empathy or intention to even help you. I am utterly surprised that the reviews on 'GO TO COURT' website noted that he is empathetic to his clients. Absolutely not! Oh and because he has given me 'legal' advice for 20 mins, which I spent 5 mins telling him off about his attitude problem, he said those fees are non refundable, which is at his manager's discretion. All I got from that 20 mins was, 'your case has a prospect but whether it is going to be successful, i don't know.' No feedback on possible approval rate based on his 'extensive' submissions etc. Kept saying, everyone's circumstances is different, which i don't need to pay $295 to find out. Just submit, sit back and wait for a response. Contacted the firm immediately after our conversation, requesting for a refund and i was told, my $295 was well spent because I got told that my case has a prospect, rather than a straight forward rejection. Like seriously? Bottom line, i have just wasted 20 mins of my life that I can never get back.

This review is from services we received last year. My son had received a summons, we arranged a meeting with the Canningvale office, the person we saw was knowledgeable and made us feel this would be a quick fix. He told us that we would be looked after by someone else and she would make contact. We had nothing but trouble from beginning to end, the lawyer never contacted us, we were constantly chasing her, I rang the Law Society, who explained what I needed to do to get the lawyer to do something, by this time they have your money and as I didn't have experience of dealing with lawyers and the stress of the situation, you end up having to stay with them. Long story short is that this "company" basically, sub-contract the work out, even after my complaints I never heard from the owner of the franchise again, it was probably the worst experience of my live and my son's, we ended up in court with this lawyer 5 times, because she had no idea what she was doing. We eventually found a proper lawyer and after looking over all the paperwork I had saved, documented conversations with the lawyer and email correspondence, he told us he would have had it done and dusted first court date, second at most. I did write to them requesting my money back for the absolute shame that they run, but of course they wasn't going to happen. The only thing that this company have going for them is their great SEO.

I tried to use these portal for advice took $295 for useless advice the only reason i gave them two was that the guy turned up to offer me useless advice and then when i went back notified them team that he can of no further assistance to me and my matter. For these people MONEY before just , my recommendation is look elsewhere.
