Catastrophic “service” at the Oslo Ferry
Off to Oslo with the family for our long waited ski tour with the traditional Oslo Ferry. Three days (!!) before departure, I am informed via email that I will be down graded to an interior cabin from the luxury cabin I reserved and paid for well in advance!! Three days before departure and with zero explanation!
In addition, the on- and off- boarding of cars was a disaster. Many passengers couldn’t get in and out of their cars through the driver seat door - myself included. And it took 25 mins to get off the ferry by far. This was just unprofessional management!
When calling to complain about the degradation, I finally got some sort of explanation which quite frankly didn’t help me at all.
Please do not think the takeover by Gotlandsbolaget from DFDS of the Copenhagen-Oslo route will make your travel experience any better. The staff on board was however kind and frequently apologized for the whole down-grading blunder, but management?…
