DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT sell your books to this company. They take your book back after giving you a cash amount you will receive and then you receive an email the quality is bad and they aren’t giving you the money. If you want the book back you have to pay for them to return it to you. It’s ridiculous. The book I returned was perfectly good or I never would have sent it. Yes, I read the FAQ and policies. Beware!

Don't waste your time

My daughter ordered (used) books from Chegg in Aug. 2024. The books were a bit worn but acceptable. We saved the Gotextbooks info included with the books so we could sell them back after the semester ended. (Chegg does not buy them back). In December we tried selling 2 books back. One book was not on the Gotextbooks buy back list. The other one was, so we sent it to Gotextbooks. It was rejected for having cover, page and moisture damage. Was told we could pay to have the book returned or they would destroy it. I thought it was damaged during shipping so I paid to have the book returned to see what happened to it. The book was in the same condition that it was in Aug when we received it from Chegg. Shouldn't have wasted our time and money. A book that was good enough for Chegg to sell wasn't good enough for Gotextbooks to buy back. The buyback price quoted was also less than half the amount we paid which is fine but then they want the book to be in excellent condition. ??? Avoid aggravation and just sell your books directly to other students online or on campus. Not interested in doing business with either company going forward.

Unfortunately, your book did not meet those guidelines. The condition guidelines for Chegg may not be the same for Gotextbooks, as they are a separate company. My apologies again.

Do not… I repeat do not sell your

Update: Go textbooks reached out and explained the emails they had sent. They are paying me for the 2 books that were accepted. I didn’t realize (in my reading of the email) that they were paying for two of the books even though one was rejected. I appreciate them reaching out to me and rectifying the situation promptly.

Do not… I repeat do not sell your books here. I sent three textbooks back in great condition and because one they deemed was not they are voiding the sale and I either have to pay for a label to get them back or they destroy them. I videoed each book I sent as I paged through it and they are in great condition. I’m guessing they’ll just keep them and sell them and avoid paying me.

I had a fantastic experience using GoTextbooks to sell back my daughters used textbooks at the end of the semester. The process was incredibly straightforward and hassle-free. Overall, I highly recommend GoTextbooks. I will definitely use them again in the future!

Great Communication and Return Policy

Tom and the wholesale team have been a great help to our college bookstore! The service is friendly, and the team has always been very responsive to our communication. I never have to wait long for a response. Love the return policy as well.

LOVED this company

LOVED this company! I used them to get books for my college classes while I was in high school and they made my process extremely easy. Great prices! Will definitely be using them for my college journey! 100% would recommend!

These guys have it all!

Go Textbooks is our new one stop shop for all of our used textbook needs. They had almost every book we needed, and the employees who work in costumer service are so nice. It's very refreshing. We will be a costumer for a long time to come!

Expierence so far.

So far, this company received my textbooks 7 business days ago. They explain on there website it takes 5 business days to process order, once received. After contacting them, the explained that it will take an additional 7 business days, totaling 14 business days to even give me an answer of how long it will take. If you’re looking to send you books in and are not willing to wait an unreasonable amount of time, I’d go back to your school to sell back the books for maybe a lesser amount. This is very unfortunate and they don’t really give a helping hand. They kept explaining thought it would take five business days to process order, and yesterday I was told that it would be done by the end of the business day. Today, I’m being told that it’s going to take an additional 7 business days to be able to locate my order. What a shame.
