I wanted to buy UHU but the shop didn't have it and Gorilla Glue contact adhesive looked like a suitable alternative. I was a bit expensive - £10 for a tube. Tried to use it to glue some pieces of car... See more

A massive scam…

Recently purchased Gorilla brand adhesive on Amazon, received an intact item and when I opened it, it was an empty bottle. Too many similar complaints to be a production error . This is a scam by the manufacture, a fraud. Stay clear of Gorilla -glue products.

Does NOT work as advertised

Absolutely garbage product. I bought some Gorilla Crazy Glue to fix some broken plastic. It doesn’t dry in 10-45 seconds as advertised. It took over an hour to dry and the hold was so weak. It made a huge mess all over my floor because it’s so runny. I would NEVER buy any of their products again.

I bought 2 sided tape to put up very light curtains outdoor. It was useless. Apparently not good in Florida heat. Melted to my thin metal frame. Of course I bought it at Walmart, which I should have known better to begin with. You get what you pay for.

Bought a 3 pack at Costco

Bought a 3 pack at Costco, 15 months later I opened the 2nd and 3rd bottles and both had dried up. I have 30 year old epoxy that still works great. I contacted Gorilla glue and they said their glue has a 1 year shelf life. Nowhere on the original packaging or bottles does it say that. Into the garbage the other 2 bottles went. Incidentally I didn't find Gorilla glue any better that the Dollar Store crazy glue.

The product really works I am so amazed

I told my girlfriend if the glue worked I would write a review. I have a art piece of wood I have had for over 40 years. I dropped it on the floor and the legs came off. The statue is about 3 feet high. The legs are thin and the top heavy. I glued the legs and tied a string around the legs. I left it overnight. To my surprise the legs are glued on. You would never know it was broken. I still cannot believe Gorilla glue stuck. You truly have a great product. I am so thankful for your product. You don’t lied. The proof is in the pudding.

Gorilla had apparently escaped from bottle!

Very best advice to anyone about to try Gorilla is to read these reviews. Umpteen users have found it to be useless. Don't buy it.
I can go one better. I bought a little bottle of its super glue all seal wrapped in a plastic blister on cardboard. Then a tightened screw-cap. Opened it for first time and Eureka - the bottle was EMPTY. Glue not even in there all hardened. Empty. Contacted Gorilla giving full details of bottle's reference number etc. and they asked me to send a photo. I had bought the bottle in the last 12 months and they replied saying this glue has a shelf life of only up to 18 months even if the bottle has been unopened. They said it "degrades" and my little bottle was allegedly almost four years old. How was I to know that on the shop shelf as it was less than a year since I bought it and tucked it away for eventual use? A "Victor Meldrew" moment - I DO believe it's useless! Had the bottle been missed when on the filling-up production line? They've an awful clumsy customer service complaint response too. How much easier if they had just sent me a voucher to try again or sent another bottle? Gorillas are disappearing from jungles and my glue literally escaped from a sealed bottle! I bought an empty bottle.....a waste of money.

How does this product still exist

How does this product still exist ? My first experience was that it didn’t stick, a fatal flaw for a glue. I put it down to a bad day… I bought another tube a couple of years later, and it still doesn’t stick ! While super glue of any kind is no longer super, gorilla glue is the most incompetent glue I have ever come across. It should be called Gorilla Tacky

Gorilla glue is great for sticking to…

Gorilla glue is great for sticking to itself. I was sold on the hype and bought a bottle of the fast cure glue only to find that when I finally needed it and took it out of it’s packaging that the entire contents of the bottle was rock hard solid. It was definitely a waste of money. Any other brand of super glue is definitely a better choice.

Absolute waste of my money

Absolute waste of my money, time and materials. Its NOT GLUE. It doesn't stick at all. I followed the instructions and 24hrs later it's still not stuck absolutely nothing. I paid €10+ for this. Its a scam to make a lot of money. Maybe they got the 'good' name and reputation because ONE of their products actually works but don't waste your money. My regret is not looking at other people's reviews, instead I trusted the 'reputation' of that one product that works.

Failure of Company about Hardening of the Glue…

This glue works well but nowhere on the packet does it state that water/moisture can diffuse through the bottle, in time, causing the glue to harden and become unusable. Preventative methods may be to seal the bottle in a zip lock bag with a package of silica gel inside, or even use a vacuum sealer. This is a serious omission by the company not to advise potential customers of this significant problem.
