: DANGEROUS PRODUCT CAUSED INJURY & ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLLOW-UP
I am writing this to warn potential buyers about a severe safety issue and subsequent appalling customer service from Gootium.
The Problem: On the first day of use, a sharp, defective metal component on the bag cut my hand deeply, resulting in three separate physical injuries (a deep cut to my palm and a cut to my index finger and a cut to my little finger). This product is genuinely dangerous.
The Failed Resolution:
The company initially offered an insufficient and frankly ridiculous $20 partial refund. I rejected this offer because it did not compensate for the injury and did not address the fact that the bag is unsafe and unusable.
They then agreed to send a replacement bag and acknowledged the defect. I requested appropriate compensation for the pain and trouble caused by the injury.
The Current Situation: Since that request three days ago, Gootium has completely ghosted the conversation. They have provided NO tracking information for the promised replacement bag and NO response regarding compensation for the injury caused by their safety-flawed product.
A company that manufactures a product capable of causing physical harm and then ignores the customer afterward is unacceptable. I caution everyone against purchasing from them until this product defect is addressed.
