User of Goodsync since 2018

Hello,
I'm a user of Goodsync since 2018. The product comes with lots of integrations and provides many features to tweak the speed, the bandwith, etc...
I have recently faced an issue with a Webdav integration. The support answer to me in less than one hour. Their ticketing system is well integrated with the Goodsync application. You can easily provides logs and screenshots, so the support team can help to solve the issue quickly.

I don't understand why people dislike this product. They should put things in perspective. Goodsync is just a tool for backup and file synchronization. Goodsync is not responsible of the issues caused by the 3rd party cloud providers. If you can see the boundaries, then believe me, Goodsync is an absolute must-have in your toolbox.

I stopped living selflessly.

After resetting Windows, I had an activation issue…

The support team responded with something along the lines of, "It's cheap, just buy it again." That response still lingers in my memory.

I used to live altruistically, loving the world and helping others. But at that moment, I realized—one day, I might unknowingly help someone like that.

So, I stopped living selflessly.

I have decided to be a burden to society.

Goodsync's behavior unlawful and not customer-orientede have been using Allway Sync for…

We have been using Allway Sync for years and had purchased a lifetime license.

Allway Sync was taken over by Siber Systems Inc and now operates under the new product name Goodsync.

In response to a technical question about Allway Sync, Goodsync told us that they were no longer responsible.

A lifetime license for a product is valid even if it is taken over by another company.

Goodsync's behavior is unlawful and not customer-oriented.

The main menu doesn't load. The instructions in the manual say to click on the Tools button on the top left. There is no menu bar. Grrr!

Well done James

I take back much of what I said in my previous review. After such incompetent service I was finally connected to a guy named James who knew what he was talking about. It took a few days but he finally sorted out my problem. Well done, James. You are a credit to you company.

Using GoodSync since 2008

Using GoodSync since 2008. It worked like a clockwork since then, although frequent updates were annoying (checked my downloads - 12 updates in 2018!), then I simply blocked the Internet access for all GoodSync executables in Windows firewall, so I do not know what the situation is now.
There is one feature that I really appreciate: unlike competition they store backups in their original formats, i.e. no proprietary incremental and differential containers. I can use Windows Explorer to open backed up versions of everything.
Purchased v12 two days ago: impressed with the new features like access to NAS using GoodSync's applications on popular NAS systems like Synology and WD.
Tech support could be better, I agree with all reviewers on this.

Do NOT buy GoodSync software, it is a scam!

Do not buy this software: it is simply not working, certainly on a Mac!
I am asking for support since last January 31st, an the support is below anything you could imagine. I have reinstalled the software, installed the version with tracing and forwarded the result as asked: after one full week not the leastest reaction.. Do NOT commit the same error as I did, because they do not help you, they take the money and run!
ABSOLUTELY TO BE AVOIDED!!!

Won't work offline

I've used Goodsync2Go for many years - it's handy to have it on a USB stick for moving files between PCs and for backups. Every new release of this software is slower than the previous version. I keep one PC that cannot be connected to the internet, for highly confidential files. The latest release simply won't work if your PC is not online. Yet another company that thinks it's more important to check you have paid for a licence than to enusre the software actually does what you paid for.

Awful support

Company a releasing almost a new version per week, which is inequally working if you update as they wish. Wish we could have a stable branch at some place.
However, i have been using it for several years now and considering moving away despite it is a good piece of software.

We are in september 2020, and yes, same remarks about support.... Passive-agressive, writing short and ambiguous sentences, that you might take as cynical or arrogant, but not really helpfull. one would believe their software is too good for us mere mortals....

Plus i have upgraded from V10 to 11 and discovered that in fact my upgrade was going to be an annual subscription. What a silent turn of events...

I will reconsider going back to V10 and also consider changing for another product, life is short and not such time to lose.

Goodsync OK for windows 2 windows but issues elsewhere

Goodsync iif used just for syncing between Windows systems then usually this works, but syncing to other systems you have to hope that you do not find any bugs.

Similar to the previous review, if you find bugs while someone answers your request quickly, you find increasingly the issue is reflected back to you as a customer. You will find that you as a customer have to spend ever increasing amounts of time justifying why you opened the bug.

Their support try to put the blame on you as the customer, rather than wanting to address bugs in their software. I have lost more than a week documenting various issues back to Goodsync.

Unreliable software backed up by unhelpful, passive-aggressive customer support

I have used GoodSync on and off for several years. My final conclusion is:

GoodSync is garbage.

Typically, my GoodSync experience goes like this:

* I find that I have a sync task.

* I install the latest version of GoodSync, hoping that it has improved since my last attempt.

* I encounter a bunch of intermittent errors.

* I submit tickets through GoodSync's help system, and I receive prompt-but-generic-and-totally-unhelpful feedback.

* I delete GoodSync and resort to another solution.

Why do I keep going back to it? Because I paid for it, and I cling to the hope that they will eventually fix their software to the point where it's *minimally* effective. No dice. It remains as much garbage as it was when I purchased it.

Just some of the errors I've encountered:

* Locks up while attempting to sync to a folder. Just becomes totally unresponsive. The process needs to be killed, and often the machine rebooted, to recover from the lockup.

* "Undefined Error: 0." Constantly. This is GoodSync's version of "An error occurred." Could be a million reasons. Don't bother emailing GoodSync customer support - they don't know and won't help you.

* Sync jobs just fail, spontaneously, mid-sync. The sync is running perfectly, the volumes are both still available... aaaaaaaand it abruptly stops.

* The network browser is overdesigned and overcomplicated. All you want do is to specify a URL, a username, and a password. Sometimes it accepts the settings. Sometimes it doesn't, it just uses the old settings, and then barfs out random error messages.

I give up. They are never going to upgrade this software to minimal usability or competence. I have scoured all of my computer systems of this bloated trashware and deleted my registration information.

Don't make the same mistake I did. Don't waste your time, and don't give this developer money. You will regret every dime and every moment you spend on this garbage software.
