The Worst Journey You’ll Ever Take with Good Journey.io - Broken Promises
Good Journey (goodjourney.io) promotes its "All-in-one Transport & Delivery" platform and its claim of "Everything you need to power your business." In reality, it falls far short of those promises, even going against their own two-party signed contracts to hold you hostage when things do not go right and your business is suffering because of the lack of their one-man development team’s understanding of the Livery business, Chauffeur-driven services, and any form of Private Car Service. They try to bundle everything under a simplified ride-share platform hoping it may work for you. When it does not, it does not matter that you have an iron-clad signed contract or even leverage in your favor. There is no one to listen or understand they are breaching contract, and they will keep you and your business hostage.
This company consists of one sales manager, one man tech support team, one man accounting department so-called Chief Financial Officer, and one man Chief Executive Officer who is just a glorified salesperson unwilling to get involved in running the business even if it is on fire. Not only was the initial setup, which they charged for, done incorrectly, it took them over a month to fix. After that came another ten months dealing with more than 40 critical items on the development list that any private car service, livery company, or limousine company would need to run their business. Less than 2% were ever completed. They swallowed our annual payment while we were still in testing month, and when we refused to go live with such a sub-standard platform that cannot run a business successfully, they remained quite until we go live and can be held hostage.
If you operate a ride-share app business and want a platform to take over your business and cut off all your controls, then Good Journey is for you. You will just have to sit like a mindless operator and follow Good Journey’s ill-thought-out process, watching this platform allow your client to place reservations. There is no notification of reservation to you or your client, no confirmation to let you know you have a new reservation that needs to be accepted, and when it is accepted, you have to notify your client manually. When the time comes, you must then execute the reservation. Forget about having dispatch flexibility for assigning drivers or vehicles as you wish to run your business or indulge your client. As a business owner, contrary to your own belief that "the client is always right" and the need to take care of your clients, you are forced to hand over control of all aspects of your livery company, private car service, or limousine company to a sub-standard platform.
You need to add additional services? Be prepared to jump through six hoops. You need an immediate fix or an answer to why your client was charged more than the reservation? Wait until 10 AM Vietnam time, and forget about overnight or weekend support. They are simply off. I paid them a full year of monthly payments in advance and waited 14 months for the legitimate shortcomings of their platform to be fixed. When it was finally close enough to consider going live and switching to Good Journey, they pulled the rug out from under our feet and demanded another full year payment or threatened to shut us down. They claimed they could not honor our request after we waited for them to fix the issues because they needed to cover their cloud services and infrastructure. When we highlighted their own contract section that clearly stated monthly payment, they ignored it and refused to comply.
So many different actions of this company, combined with the lack of staff, the reason their Chief Technology Officer (the main application developer behind their product) has already left, lead you to believe this company is a sinking ship. They are trying to sell as many tickets as possible before they sink and take everyone on board with them. Add to these points and think more than a few times before considering Good Journey for your Private Car Service, Livery Company, or Limousine service.
