Good equipment and atmosphere, but it gets very crowded during peak hours.
I will say I have been a member at golds for over 8 years now. I used to absolutely love their studio classes. I recently had a baby and due to them getting rid of their daycare center I can longer attend as I have to take care of my child. I was very good friends with many of the coaches and was already skeptical with the way they treated them. After this process of trying to cancel my account I definitely will not be going back. It should not be that difficult to cancel your account and it’s absolutely ridiculous that I need to give you a 30 day notice. First I was calling the gym because you can only cancel at the specific location you signed up which seems silly to me when people move around all the time and that’s what I liked about golds was that I could go to any location. Well in my opinion you should also be able to do anything on your account at any location. I couldn’t go to the original location I signed up at because it is in downtown and there is no parking and a bunch of homeless people around and I refuse to subject my newborn child to that. After speaking to multiple people who just kept telling me I had to come in that location to cancel finally I got someone with brains who told me I could cancel online. Well I did cancel well in advance prior to my next billing but yet now I’m being charged for an entire extra month that I will not even be able to utilize. So now I’m charged for two months just because they make it so difficult to do. I honestly thought they would care more about their customers than that. Seems like a giant money grab to me. I was a life long gold’s gym member and planned to go back when my child got a little bigger but now I probably will never go back!
Golds gym Hanwell I had the most horrible experience. Poor customer service, with Indian staff who don’t understand English, rude and look down upon people. It’s a bad reputation for the gym because of these people. They show power. Even the rude cleaner does not do a good job as no one to monitor her. She will empower the customers who are nice. Place is dirty all the time and bad smell so many time.
