Incredibly friendly and helpful staff at the Bordeaux airport collection and return office. I was especially glad of taking out the full insurance option, as someone dented my car in a car park, but when I returned the car there was nothing to pay and no fuss at all. I'll be back!
Incidentally, when returning your car, if you use the what3words reference "creeps.detection.pace" in your satnav it will bring you straight there, despite the slightly complicated lane signage on return.

The girl that helped us was great but out of the €140 deposit they took fir petrol only €130 was returned and the tank was returned full.

Rented a car from Goldcar in Nice Airport. I have a combined credit/debit card, which is actually two cards in one.
Goldcar said that they had to withdraw the full deposit (EUR 1537) from my account instead of just reserving it because the card was not a "pure" credit card (?). The deposit would be refunded after the rental period, but it was not - in full.

They refunded me approx. EUR 88 less than they charged from my account!!!

The car was returned without damages - and my bank did not charge anything for the transactions.
Goldcar will not process my complaint since the rental period has ended!!
The funny thing is that refunds first take place days or weeks after the rental period ends!!!

This means that Goldcar can in principle refund whatever they feel like - without the customers being able to file complaints.

I will never use Goldcar again.

Having used Goldcar before and not always having a satisfactory outcome, I must say they have improved. However the check-in process at the airport could be speeded up.

We regularly use Goldcar from Marseille Airport. We just need a small low cost car to get us to our accommodation. Process easy and staff efficient and helpful.

My experience with Goldcar Bordeaux airport was terrible. They provided me with a defective car which I had to return. We lost a day of our holiday and incurred hotel and other costs as a result of their incompetence. They refunded some, but not all of the hire charge and none of the additional related costs. I have asked on several occasions how they can justify not refunding the whole of the hire fee. My emails have all been ignored. I would never use this firm in future and would advise anyone to avoid them. Their business practice is dishonest and unethical.

Charged extra for dirt from shoes in foot well. Are we supposed to valet the car before the return?
Charged extra for the tank not being full although we filled up the previous evening and drove straight to the airport. So then an extra penalty on top of charge. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff.

I would not recommend this car hire company. My flight was cancelled and I had to pick the rental car up 12 hours later than scheduled and had emailed in this regard. The cost when I booked was 354.00. I was quoted 400.00 when I went to pick it up and then when I went to pay for it, it was 800.00 and this did not include a deposit. Do not use them. Not a pleasant experience. I was told if I didn't like it I didn't have to have it. Double the price very unfair.
